The role of EP1 receptor for prostaglandin E₂ in mouse skin carcinogenesis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
textProstaglandin E₂ (PGE₂), the most abundant prostaglandin in mouse skin, has been shown to promote skin tumor development. EP1 is one of four PGE₂ receptors. EP1 mRNA levels analyzed by a quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction were increased

Loss of SHP1 in Spinal Astrocytes Triggers T‐Lymphocyte Infiltration and Nociceptive Hypersensitivity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Astrocyte‐specific SHP1 deletion disrupts astrocyte–vascular interactions and compromises BBB integrity while enhancing STAT1‐dependent CXCL10 expression. These changes synergistically promote peripheral CD4+ and CD8+ T‐cell infiltration into the SDH. The infiltrating T cells secrete IFN‐γ, which in turn activates microglia.

Induction of Methuosis in Breast Cancer Stem Cells by a Cobalt(III) Complex Evokes Immunotherapeutic Response

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Cancer stem cells (CSCs) drive metastasis, relapse and resist conventional apoptosis‐inducing chemotherapies. We report a cobalt(III)‐cyclam complex with pyrene and diflunisal moieties that reduces the viability of breast CSCs at low micromolar concentrations.

Prostaglandin E receptor 4 (EP4) promotes colonic tumorigenesis

open access: yesOncotarget, 2015
Colorectal cancer (CRC) continues to be a major cause of morbidity and mortality. Although the factors underlying CRC development and progression are multifactorial, there is an important role for tumor-host interactions, especially interactions with myeloid cells.

Transcription Factor HOXC11 Drives Colorectal Cancer Progression and Metastasis via CAMK2A‐Dependent CXCL5 Upregulation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
HOXC11 drives colorectal cancer progression by transcriptionally activating CAMK2A, which triggers NF‐κB–dependent CXCL5 upregulation. CXCL5–CXCR2 signaling further reinforces HOXC11 expression through the ERK1/2–SP1 axis, forming a prometastatic positive feedback loop that is effectively disrupted by combined CAMK2A and CXCR2 inhibition.

The CXCL5/CXCR2 Axis Attenuates Ferroptosis in Intrahepatic Cholangiocarcinoma Through the Positive Feedback Loop Between PTGS2 Transcriptional Activation and Neutrophil Recruitment

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The CXCL5/CXCR2 axis directly inhibits ferroptosis in ICC cells by activating the NF‐κB/PTGS2 pathway. Meanwhile, the CXCL5/CXCR2 axis recruits N2 TANs, and the activated PTGS2 promotes the secretion of TNF‐α from the recruited N2 TANs via the CCL2/CCL7/CCR2 pathway, thereby activating the NF‐κB/PTGS2 axis and forming a positive feedback loop, which ...

Uncoupling Type I Interferon Benefits From Inflammatory Toxicity: Transformer‐Prioritized Precision Agonists for Potent and Safer Cancer Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A Transformer‐based AI framework, DLINP, screens millions of compounds to identify Co68, a cobalt‐pincer organometallic complex that biases TLR4‐MD2 signaling toward antitumor interferon activation while suppressing inflammatory toxicity through an early TLR4‐SYK‐STAT1 axis.

The Prostaglandin E2-EP3 Receptor Axis Regulates Anaplasma phagocytophilum-Mediated NLRC4 Inflammasome Activation.

open access: yesPLoS Pathogens, 2016
Rickettsial agents are sensed by pattern recognition receptors but lack pathogen-associated molecular patterns commonly observed in facultative intracellular bacteria.

An investigation of the neuropharmacological and behavioural effects of fenamate and other NSAIDs. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
Recent evidence has indicated that NSAIDs might have direct effects on CNS tissue in addition to their classical inhibitory action on COX enzymes. This thesis addresses this hypothesis using electrophysiological and behavioural techniques. The effects of

Integrated O2 and H2 Gas Therapy via Microneedle‐Assisted Photocatalytic Water Splitting for Accelerating Diabetic Full‐Thickness Skin Wound Healing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A concept of integrated O2 and H2 gas therapy is achieved using a gas‐producing material. PMP nanoparticles, fabricated from platinum, MIL‐101(Fe)‐NH2, and phosphotungstic acid, are integrated into bilayer gelatin methacryloyl microneedles for transdermal delivery. These microneedles enable integrated O2 and H2 gas therapy and promote wound healing via
