Expression of an anti-CD33 single-chain antibody by Pichia pastoris [PDF]
CD33 is a cell surface glycoprotein expressed on cells of myelomonocytic lineage, leukaemic cells, but not haematopoietic stem cells. By virtue of its expression pattern, CD33 has become a popular target for new immunotherapeutic approaches to treat ...

Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Generation and application of recombinant antibody fragments for prostate cancer detection. [PDF]
Prostate cancer (PCa) is the most prevalent adenocarcinoma and the second highest cause of cancer-related deaths in men. Early diagnosis is required to identify the development of PCa to reduce the risk of the disease metastasising to different regions ...

Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

Expression of the murine cytomegalovirus glycoprotein H by recombinant vaccinia virus [PDF]
The sequence of the gene encoding glycoprotein H (gH) of murine cytomegalovirus (MCMV) strain Smith was determined and compared with the sequence of the gH of MCMV strain K181. Transcriptional analysis showed that gH is encoded by a large mRNA of 5.0 kb,

Investigating antibody neutralization of lyssaviruses using lentiviral pseudotypes: a cross-species comparison [PDF]
Cross-neutralization between rabies virus (RABV) and two European bat lyssaviruses (EBLV-1 and -2) was analysed using lentiviral pseudotypes as antigen vectors.
