Comparison of Dried Blood Spot Sampling Methods for RNA‐Based Biomarker Measurement in Anti‐Doping
This study demonstrates that RNA‐based biomarkers of erythropoiesis, ALAS2 and CA1, can be reliably quantified across commonly used DBS sampling matrices, including venous and capillary blood spotted on cellulose cards and the Tasso‐M20 device. ABSTRACT Dried blood spot (DBS) sampling offers logistical advantages, but it remains unexplored whether ...

Targeted Interventions in HAM/TSP: Emerging Therapies and Future Directions – A Narrative Review
ABSTRACT Background and Aim Human T‐Lymphotropic virus type 1 (HTLV‐1) infection can lead to HTLV‐1‐associated myelopathy/tropical spastic paraparesis (HAM/TSP), a debilitating chronic neurological disease characterized by progressive lower limb spasticity and autonomic dysfunction.

Testing for recombinant human erythropoietin [PDF]
erythropoietin (Epo) may have effects on exercise capacity and physiological regulation beyond a simple increase in red cell mass and the associated improvement in oxygen transport ([4][1]). In the context of a larger study on this topic, Lundby and colleagues ([11][2]) also asked questions ...

Unfolding Plant Defence: Endoplasmic Reticulum Stress Signalling at the Plant‐Pathogen Interface
ABSTRACT The endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress response, a conserved proteostasis network, has emerged as a central hub that reprograms plant immunity during pathogen attack. This review synthesises how plants harness ER‐stress signalling to mount multilayered defences and how pathogens have evolved counterstrategies to subvert these pathways.

Erythropoietin administration suppresses hepatic soluble epoxide hydrolase (sEH) expression, leading to increased CYP‐derived epoxides. This is associated with a shift in hepatic macrophage polarization characterized by reduced M1 markers and increased M2 markers, along with reduced hepatic inflammation, suppressed hepatic lipogenesis, and attenuated ...

Discovery of CRBN‐based molecular glue degraders targeting WIZ transcription factor
This work reports the discovery of 9l, a novel cereblon‐based molecular glue degrader which targets the WIZ transcription factor. Compound 9l facilitates WIZ‐CRBN ternary complex formation to degrade WIZ, subsequently inducing γ‐globin expression in HUDEP‐2 cells and highlighting its potential as a sickle cell disease therapy.

Pharmacokinetics of PEGylated Recombinant Human Erythropoietin in Rats
rHuEPO plays a central role as chemicals for the treatment of many diseases. Due to its short half-life, the main aim for this pharmacokinetic study is to investigate a newly developed PEG-rHuEPO with large molecular weight in SD rats.

ABSTRACT Objective This real‐world study aimed to investigate the cancer therapy‐induced thrombocytopenia (CTIT) profile and evaluate the efficacy and safety of recombinant human interleukin‐11 (rhIL‐11) in its management. Methods Retrospective analysis included 12,431 CTIT patients treated with rhIL‐11 across 58 Chinese centers (July 2023–June 2024 ...

Resistance to recombinant human erythropoietin therapy in haemodialysis patients
To better clarify the mechanism of resistance to recombinant human erythropoietin (rhEPO) therapy in haemodialysis patients, we studied systemic changes associated with this resistence in haemodialysis patients under rhEPO therapies, with particular ...
