Anti‐PD‐1 Nanobody‐Armored MSLN CAR‐T Therapy for Malignant Mesothelioma: Preclinical and Clinical Studies

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A novel therapy using engineered immune cells (NAC‐T cells) showed promise for refractory malignant mesothelioma. Based on the encouraging preclinical data, the first‐in‐human trial is initiated, demonstrating tolerable safety and promising anti‐tumor activity (ORR 63.6%, DCR 100%, including one CR).

Attenuation of Influenza a Virus into Live Vaccines Through C‐End Degrons

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Naturally occurring C‐end degrons are exploited to design proteolysis‐targeting live attenuated influenza vaccines. C‐end degron tagging of viral M1 protein promotes proteasome‐dependent degradation, resulting in robust attenuation in host cells while permitting scalable production in engineered cells.

A Novel Function of Nonadecanoic Acid in Regulating Glucose Homeostasis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identifies the odd‐chain fatty acid C19:0 as an endogenous ligand of GPR120 that promotes glucose homeostasis via Gαq signaling. In obesity, elevated palmitic acid suppresses endogenous C19:0 production through a miRNA–PPARα–HACL1 pathway, offering a promising direction for understanding the role of OCFAs in human health.

Current status of recombinant duck enteritis virus vector vaccine research

open access: yesFrontiers in Veterinary Science
Duck enteritis virus (DEV), the pathogen of duck viral enteritis, belongs to the α-herpesvirus subfamily. Like other herpesviruses, it has a large genome with multiple non-coding and non-essential regions for viral replication.

Production of recombinant adeno-associated virus

open access: yes, 2000
Currently, rAAV appears to be one of the most promising vectors for gene therapy applications. Attractive features of the vector include nonpathogenicity, the ability to infect nondividing cells, escape from host immune responses, and integration into the host genome.

Calcium Shock Enables Efficient and Programmable Particle Delivery for Genome Editing Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Classical transfection and transduction are inefficient, particularly with confluent cells and organoids, and lack cell type‐specific programmability. This study presents calcium shock (CaSh), a method that dramatically improves particle delivery into single cells, colonies, and organoids.

Molecular Mechanism of VSV-Vectored ASFV Vaccine Activating Immune Response in DCs

open access: yesVeterinary Sciences
The vesicular stomatitis virus (VSV)-vectored African swine fever virus (ASFV) vaccine can induce efficient immune response, but the potential mechanism remains unsolved.
