Heterozygous loss‐of‐function alleles associate the conserved 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease EXOSC10 with hypersensitivity to the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

Effective Regenerative Braking System for Electric Vehicle

open access: yesINTERANTIONAL JOURNAL OF SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH IN ENGINEERING AND MANAGEMENT, 2022
To improve driving ability of electric vehicle. Regenerative braking system (RBS) are an effective method of recovering the energy released and at the same time reducing the exhaust and brake emissions of vehicle . this method is based on the principle of converting the kinetic energy created by mechanical energy of the motor into electrical energy and

Hijacking emergency granulopoiesis: Neutrophil ontogeny and reprogramming in cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Neutrophils are highly plastic innate immune cells; their functions in cancer extend beyond the tumour microenvironment. This Review summarises current understanding of neutrophil maturation and heterogeneity and highlights tumour‐induced granulopoiesis as a systemic programme that expands immature, immunosuppressive neutrophils via tumour‐derived ...

Chatter Control by Spindle Speed Variation in High-Speed Milling [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
High-speed milling operations are often limited by regenerative vibrations. The aim of this paper is to analyze the effect of spindle speed variation on machine tool chatter in high-speed milling. The stability analysis of triangular and sinusoidal shape

Adaptor protein CIN85 potentiates the motility of osteosarcoma cells via the Akt/mTOR and MMP2‐COL3A1 axis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CIN85 is highly expressed in osteosarcoma, particularly in metastatic lesions. Its overexpression increases cell migration and Matrigel invasion, while silencing CIN85 suppresses these behaviors. Transcriptome analysis shows that CIN85 regulates MMP2, COL3A1, and Akt/mTOR signaling. Targeting these pathways reverses CIN85‐induced motility, highlighting

Spinal Cord Cells from Pre-metamorphic Stages Differentiate into Neurons and Promote Axon Growth and Regeneration after Transplantation into the Injured Spinal Cord of Non-regenerative Xenopus laevis Froglets

open access: yesFrontiers in Cellular Neuroscience, 2017
Mammals are unable to regenerate its spinal cord after a lesion, meanwhile, anuran amphibians are capable of spinal cord regeneration only as larvae, and during metamorphosis, this capability is lost.

Effect of regenerative effectiveness on the performance of simple gas turbine

open access: yesScientia Africana
The deregulation of the power and energy sector introduced a strong element of competition. Power plant operators try to develop techniques to maximize profits in the dynamic power industry. New methods of improving and optimizing simple gas turbine power plants are needed to enhance operational decision making and therefore to maximize power plant ...

Notochordal-cell derived extracellular vesicles exert regenerative effects on canine and human nucleus pulposus cells

open access: yes, 2017
During intervertebral disc ageing, chondrocyte-like cells (CLCs) replace notochordal cells (NCs). NCs have been shown to induce regenerative effects in CLCs. Since vesicles released by NCs may be responsible for these effects, we characterized NC-derived

Integration of dynamic behaviour variations in the stability lobes method: 3D lobes construction and application to thin-walled structure milling [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Vibratory problems occurring during peripheral milling of thin-walled structures affect the quality of the fin- ished part and, to a lesser extent, the tool life and the spindle life.
