Stem Cell Imaging: Tools to Improve Cell Delivery and Viability. [PDF]
Stem cell therapy (SCT) has shown very promising preclinical results in a variety of regenerative medicine applications. Nevertheless, the complete utility of this technology remains unrealized. Imaging is a potent tool used in multiple stages of SCT and

Cytoplasmic p21 promotes stemness of colon cancer cells via activation of the NFκB pathway
Cytoplasmic p21 promotes colorectal cancer stem cell (CSC) features by destabilizing the NFκB–IκB complex, activating NFκB signaling, and upregulating BCL‐xL and COX2. In contrast to nuclear p21, cytoplasmic p21 enhances spheroid formation and stemness transcription factor CD133.

Nanosensors for Regenerative Medicine
Assessing biodistribution, fate, and function of implanted therapeutic cells in preclinical animal experiments is critical to realize safe, effective and efficient treatments for subsequent implementation within the clinic. Currently, tissue histology, the most prevalent analytical technique to meet this need, is limited by end-point analysis, high ...

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Regenerative medicine and cell therapy
Cell therapies are clinical practices already by decades in fields like blood tumors and severe burns but the term itself when associated with regenerative medicine switch on a cascade of imaginery thoughts that risk to create false hopes; in other words,

Regenerative medicine for early osteoarthritis
The concept of early osteoarthritis (OA) is based on the expectation that if found and treated in the early stage, the progression of the disease might be arrested before affected joints are irreversibly destroyed.
