Adoptive Immunotherapy in Chimeras with Donor Lymphocytes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
Allogeneic stem cell transplantation has a well-defined indication in the treatment of hematological malignancies. The beneficial immune effect of allogeneic marrow transplantation has long been known, but only recently have methods been developed to ...

Ionizable Lipid‐Dependent Optimization of Steroid Lipid Nanoparticles With Tunable Immunomodulatory Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A novel engineering strategy that establishes material design principles for incorporating anti‐inflammatory steroids into lipid nanoparticles to reduce LNP‐induced inflammation while retaining mRNA delivery. Results are validated in vitro and in three animal models of inflammation and autoimmunity in vivo.

Patterns of cytokine gene expression of naïve and memory T lymphocytes in vivo. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
Large-scale lymphocyte recirculation occurs only at the level of secondary lymphoid tissue. Cells enter lymph nodes via afferent lymph from the tissue and via arterioles from the blood. They exit only via the efferent duct.

The therapeutic potential of regulatory T lymphocytes in periodontitis: A systematic review

open access: yesJournal of Periodontal Research, 2018
This systematic review aimed to: (a) generate a descriptive synthesis of preclinical studies assessing the therapeutic potential of regulatory T lymphocytes (Tregs) to arrest periodontitis, (b) evaluate the methodological heterogeneity of the reviewed animal studies and (c) assess the risk of bias (RoB) of the included studies.

CD9+ B Cells Induce T Follicular Helper Cell Apoptosis to Regulate Germinal Center Regression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A unique subset of CD9+ B cells regulates germinal center B (GC‐B) cell regression by inducing T follicular helper (Tfh) cell apoptosis through multiple signaling pathways, such as ALCAM‐CD6. FOXP1 plays a key role in GC‐B cell differentiation. These findings clarify mechanisms of GC degeneration and termination and offer potential targets for adenoid ...

Association of FoxP3+ T regulatory lymphocytes with epicardial adipose tissue thickness in patients with coronary heart disease

open access: yesActa Biomedica Scientifica
Background. Increase ofthe epicardial adipose tissue (EAT) thickness isassociated with development of inflammation and cardiovascular complications, however, there is no data on the relationship between EAT thickening and the number of immunosuppressive ...
