Metabolic dysfunction‐associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) affects nearly one‐third of the global population and poses a significant risk of progression to cirrhosis or liver cancer. Here, we discuss the roles of hepatic dendritic cell subtypes in MASLD, highlighting their distinct contributions to disease initiation and progression, and their ...

Regulatory T cells in children with recently diagnosed type 1 diabetes
Background: Regulatory T cells have an important role in the control of immune reactivity against self antigens and probably play a role in pathogenesis of type 1 diabetes (T1D).

The Prognostic Importance of CD20(+) B lymphocytes in Colorectal Cancer and the Relation to Other Immune Cell subsets [PDF]
The anti-tumour immune response is critical to patient prognosis in colorectal cancer (CRC). The aim of this study was to investigate infiltration of B lymphocytes into CRC tumours, and their clinical relevance, prognostic value and relation to other ...

Regulatory T lymphocytes attenuate myocardial infarction-induced ventricular remodeling in mice.
Downregulation of CD4+CD25+ regulatory T lymphocytes (Treg) has been found in local atherosclerotic lesions and in patients with myocardial infarction (MI).

Insights into PI3K/AKT signaling in B cell development and chronic lymphocytic leukemia
This Review explores how the phosphoinositide 3‐kinase and protein kinase B pathway shapes B cell development and drives chronic lymphocytic leukemia, a common blood cancer. It examines how signaling levels affect disease progression, addresses treatment challenges, and introduces novel experimental strategies to improve therapies and patient outcomes.

ESTRIOL IN FUNCTIONAL MODULATION OF REGULATORY LYMPHOCYTES IN MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS
We studied effects of estriol (E3), at the doses corresponding to the I and III trimesters of pregnancy, upon expression of functional markers on T-regulatory (Treg) and Th17-producing (Th17) lymphocytes, aswell as the production of relevant cytokines by ...

The involvement of T regulatory lymphocytes in a cohort of lupus nephritis patients: a pilot study [PDF]
T regulator lymphocytes (Tregs) play a key role in the maintenance of immune tolerance and in the development of autoimmune diseases. Expression of Foxp3 is specific for Tregs, and can be used for the identification of these cells.

Dynamical properties of feedback signalling in B lymphopoiesis: A mathematical modelling approach [PDF]
Haematopoiesis is the process of generation of blood cells. Lymphopoiesis generates lymphocytes, the cells in charge of the adaptive immune response. Disruptions of this process are associated with diseases like leukaemia, which is especially incident in children.

Regulatory T and B lymphocytes in a spontaneous autoimmune polyneuropathy [PDF]
SummaryB7-2–/– non-obese diabetic (NOD) mice develop a spontaneous autoimmune polyneuropathy (SAP) that mimics the progressive form of chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyradiculoneuropathy (CIDP). In this study, we focused on the role of regulatory T cells (Tregs) and regulatory B cells (Bregs) in SAP.

Low‐density lipoprotein receptor‐related protein 6 (LRP6) is a key receptor for the Wnt antagonist Dickkopf1 (DKK1). DKK1 protein expression is induced in a bleomycin (BLM)‐induced lung injury model. We show that DKK1 induces proinflammatory and profibrotic genes in lung fibroblasts.
