The Nutritional Significance of Ganoderma lucidum on Human Health: A GRADE‐Assessed Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis of Clinical Trials

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 13, Issue 6, June 2025.
Ganoderma lucidum supplementation significantly reduced body mass index, creatinine, glutathione peroxidase, and heart rate. No significant impact was observed on body fat, waist circumference, weight, waist‐to‐hip ratio, diastolic blood pressure, systolic blood pressure, fasting glucose, high‐sensitivity C‐reactive protein, tumor necrosis factor‐alpha,

Molecular actions of hypocholesterolaemic compounds from edible mushrooms [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Cholesterol levels are strictly regulated to maintain its homeostasis; therefore, if it is not absorbed with the diet, the cholesterol biosynthetic pathway is enhanced and vice versa.

Effects of Natural Polysaccharides on the Gut Microbiota Related to Human Metabolic Health

open access: yesMolecular Nutrition &Food Research, Volume 69, Issue 11, June 2025.
The graphical abstract illustrates the role of polysaccharides extracted from various natural raw materials (such as mushrooms, marine organisms, fruits, and vegetables) in modulating the gut microbiota. The process begins with the extraction and purification of polysaccharides, followed by assessing their structure‐activity relationship. Upon entering

Network Pharmacology and Experimental Validation Reveal Ganodermanontriol Modulates Pneumonia via TNF/NF‐κB/MAPKs Signaling Pathway

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 13, Issue 4, April 2025.
Ganodermanontriol, the primary triterpenoid identified in Ganoderma lucidum, was evaluated for its efficacy against pneumonia through network pharmacology, molecular docking, and in vivo rat models. The compound significantly reduced lung tissue damage and inflammatory mediators by targeting the TNF/NF‐κB/MAPKs signaling pathways.
