Relative Pose Estimation of an Uncooperative Target with Camera Marker Detection

open access: yesAerospace
Accurate and robust relative pose estimation is the first step in ensuring the success of an active debris removal mission. This paper introduces a novel method to detect structural markers on the European Space Agency’s Environmental Satellite (ENVISAT)

Efficient Ego-Motion Estimation for Multi-Camera Systems With Decoupled Rotation and Translation

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
In this article, we present novel solutions to estimate the ego-motion of a multi-camera system with a known vertical direction (e.g., from the inertial measurement unit).

Monocular-Based Pose Determination of Uncooperative Known and Unknown Space Objects [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
In order to support spacecraft proximity operations, such as on-orbit servicing and spacecraft formation flying, several vision-based techniques exist to determine the relative pose of an uncooperative orbiting object with respect to the spacecraft ...

Glycosylated LGALS3BP is highly secreted by bladder cancer cells and represents a novel urinary disease biomarker

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Urinary LGALS3BP is elevated in bladder cancer patients compared to healthy controls as detected by the 1959 antibody–based ELISA. The antibody shows enhanced reactivity to the high‐mannose glycosylated variant secreted by cancer cells treated with kifunensine (KIF).

Monitoring of circulating tumor DNA allows early detection of disease relapse in patients with operable breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Monitoring circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) in patients with operable breast cancer can reveal disease relapse earlier than radiology in a subset of patients. The failure to detect ctDNA in some patients with recurrent disease suggests that ctDNA could serve as a supplement to other monitoring approaches.

PARP inhibition and pharmacological ascorbate demonstrate synergy in castration‐resistant prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pharmacologic ascorbate (vitamin C) increases ROS, disrupts cellular metabolism, and induces DNA damage in CRPC cells. These effects sensitize tumors to PARP inhibition, producing synergistic growth suppression with olaparib in vitro and significantly delayed tumor progression in vivo. Pyruvate rescue confirms ROS‐dependent activity.
