Comparison of Ankle Proprioception Between Pregnant and Non Pregnant Women [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Pregnant women report falls especially during their third trimester. Physiological changes along with ligament laxity can affect the joint proprioception in this population.

Prognostic significance of endogenous erythropoietin in long-term outcome of patients with acute decompensated heart failure [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Aims Although previous reports suggest that an elevated endogenous erythropoietin (EPO) level is associated with worse clinical outcomes in chronic heart failure (HF) patients, the prognostic implication of EPO in patients with acute decompensated HF ...

Relationship Between Intraocular Pressure and Carbonic Anhydrase Enzyme Activity in Cattle: Implications for Veterinary Ophthalmology

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 12, Issue 2, March 2026.
Schematic representation of the relationship between intraocular pressure (IOP) and carbonic anhydrase (CA) activity in pregnant and non‐pregnant cattle. Pregnancy is associated with a decrease in intraocular pressure, while plasma carbonic anhydrase activity shows a moderate positive correlation with IOP.

Abnormal liver function tests in acute heart failure: relationship with clinical characteristics and outcome in the PROTECT study [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Aims: Episodes of acute heart failure (AHF) unfavourably affect multiple organs, which may have an adverse impact on the outcomes. We investigated the prevalence and clinical consequences of abnormal liver function tests (LFTs) in AHF patients ...

Modified cytoskeletal and extracellular matrix composition in the canine testis after long‐acting gonadotropin‐releasing hormone agonist deslorelin treatment

open access: yesAndrology, Volume 14, Issue 3, Page 718-735, March 2026.
Abstract Background Long‐acting gonadotropin‐releasing hormone (GnRH) agonists are commonly used for fertility control in male dogs. Their effect on testicular histomorphology has not been clarified. Objectives To elucidate the mechanisms underlying androgen withdrawal in response to long‐acting GnRH agonist deslorelin 4.7 mg treatment on testicular ...

Gonadulin and Insulin‐Like Growth Factor Involved in Rhipicephalus microplus Reproduction

open access: yesEntomologia Experimentalis et Applicata, Volume 174, Issue 3, Page 285-295, March 2026.
Insulin‐like growth factor (IGF2) in ovaries of Rhipicephalus microplus partially engorged females. Ovaries from females at different feeding stages were used to detect IGF2. ABSTRACT Gonadulin and insulin‐like growth factor (IGF) are neuropeptides synthesized by the central nervous system (CNS) of arthropods.

A relaxin hatása a progressziv vesefibrózisra Alb/relaxin transzgenikus egerekben = The effect of relaxin on progressive renal fibrosis in Alb/relaxin transgenic mice [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
FVB/N alb/relaxin transzgenikus egereket hoztunk létre, hogy megvizsgáljuk az emelkedett plazma relaxin szint hatását vesefibrózis progressziójára. Ezek a transzgenikus egerek kizárólag a májukban expresszálják a relaxin transzgént. 12 hónapos korukra

Treg cells retain stable lineage commitment during pregnancy in mice after late gestation inflammatory challenge

open access: yesImmunology &Cell Biology, Volume 104, Issue 3, Page 276-311, March 2026.
In this study, we used Foxp3‐fatemapping mice to examine the cell lineage stability of Treg cells in pregnancy. Ex‐Foxp3 cells were identified in gestational tissues. However, Treg cells retained lineage stability with no increased ex‐Foxp3 generation, regardless of inflammatory challenges that induce preterm birth.

Total chemical synthesis of a heterodimeric interchain Bis-Lactam-linked peptide: application to an analogue of human insulin-like peptide 3 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Nonreducible cystine isosteres represent important peptide design elements in that they can maintain a near-native tertiary conformation of the peptide while simultaneously extending the in vitro and in vivo half-life of the biomolecule.
