Implementing large-scale quality improvement – lessons from the productive ward: Releasing time to care

open access: yes, 2012
Purpose: This paper is concerned with facilitating large-scale quality improvement in health care, and specifically understanding more about the known challenges associated with implementation of Lean innovations: receptivity, the complexity of adoption ...

The Current Releasing Characteristics of DC Vertical Earthing Electrode Forming an Elliptical Ring

open access: yesZhongguo dianli, 2021
The vertical DC grounding electrode forming an elliptical ring occupies a relative small land and has strong topography adaptability, which makes it worth to be widely applied.

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

The involvement of central corticotropin-releasing hormone and its receptors in sleep-wake regulation of mice [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
The corticotropin-releasing hormone (CRH) is widely recognised as the major activator of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenocortical (HPA) axis, thereby mediating neuroendocrine, autonomic, and behavioural responses to stress.

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

Epigenetic blind spots – the role of DNA methylation dynamics in stem cell‐based models of embryogenesis

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.

The decrease in growth hormone (GH) response after repeated stimulation with GH-Releasing hormone is partly caused by an elevation of somatostatin tonus. [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
Repeated injection of GHRH leads to a decrease in the GH response in normal subjects. Arginine (Arg) stimulates GH secretion by suppression of hypothalamic somatostatin.

pH‐mediated activation of the lysosomal arginine sensor SLC38A9

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Cells monitor nutrient levels via the lysosomal transporter SLC38A9 to activate the mechanistic target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1). This study reveals that SLC38A9 function is regulated by pH. We identified histidine 544 as a critical pH sensor that undergoes conformational changes to control amino acid efflux from lysosomes; therefore, it ...

The onset of labor alters corticotropin-releasing hormone type 1 receptor variant expression in human myometrium : putative role of interleukin-1ß [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
CRH targets the human myometrium during pregnancy. The efficiency of CRH actions is determined by expression of functional receptors (CRH-R), which are dynamically regulated.

Stocking effectiveness of hatchery-released Portunus trituberculatus in the Dongtou sea area of Zhejiang Province

open access: yes浙江大学学报. 农业与生命科学版, 2018
To effectively restore swimming crab (Portunus trituberculatus) resources in the Dongtou sea area of Zhejiang Province, we released a total of 1 894×104 juvenile swimming crabs in 2014, and conducted a fishery resource investigation and social survey ...
