Dual‐Functional Polystyrene‐Based Borate Complexes: Recyclable Alkyl Radical Sources and Photodegradable Absorbents

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Dual‐functional polystyrene‐based polymers bearing 2,2′‐(pyridine‐2,6‐diyl)diphenol (PDP) moieties form photoexcitable alkyl borate complexes: (i) As recyclable radical sources, they enable Giese‐type additions with facile purification by reprecipitation and demonstrate proof‐of‐concept for polymer recovery (50% PDP regeneration).

Selective Non‐Catalytic Reduction of NOx in the Exhaust Gas of Small Wood Gasification Boilers

open access: yesChemie Ingenieur Technik, EarlyView.
Kinetic studies of the SNCR reaction were conducted to investigate NOx reduction in the exhaust gas of small‐scale wood gasification boilers. Both the experimental results and the derived global kinetic model indicate that SNCR can achieve a significant reduction in NOx emissions under typical operating conditions. ABSTRACT The gas‐phase reaction of NO
