Background: The inflation-deflation (ID) method has long been the standard for intraoperative margin assessment in segmentectomy. However, with advancements in vision technology, the use of near-infrared mapping with indocyanine green (ICG) has become

Self‐Assembling Peptide‐Adjuvant Conjugate (SaPAC) Platform for Precision Cancer Immunotherapy
A self‐assembling peptide–adjuvant conjugate links neoantigens to TLR7 agonism, forming cationic nanoparticles that enhance lymph‐node retention, dendritic‐cell activation, and antitumor T‐cell immunity. This chemically defined platform shows how synchronized antigen and innate stimulation can be adapted across melanoma, bladder cancer, and triple ...

A low dose of dexmedetomidine, delivered by ROS‐responsive nanoparticles, preferentially accumulates in the ischemic intestine and restores gut vascular barrier integrity after ischemia/reperfusion injury. This nanoparticle‐based strategy prevents bacterial translocation and liver damage without cardiorespiratory side effects, working through HDAC ...

Meta-analysis of radical resection rates and margin assessment in pancreatic cancer
Background R0 resection rates (complete tumour removal with negative resection margins) in pancreatic cancer are 70-80 per cent when a 0-mm margin is used, declining to 15-24 per cent with a 1-mm margin.

Extent of Surgery and Implications of Transection Margin Status after Resection of IPMNs
Appropriate surgical strategies for management of intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms (IPMNs) of the pancreas are a matter of debate. Preoperative and intraoperative evaluation of malignant potential of IPMN and of patient’s comorbidities is of ...

Targeting the YAP‐BST2 Axis Overcomes Intrinsic Anti‐PD‐1 Resistance in Metastatic Gastric Cancer
Concurrent YAP hyperactivation and Tp53 loss in Atp4b‐expressed parietal cell lineage drives gastric cancer initiation, multi‐organ metastasis, and intrinsic resistance to anti‐PD‐1 therapy. BST2 emerges as a direct YAP‐TEAD transcriptional target that engages PIRA2 on myeloid cells to establish an immunosuppressive microenvironment.

Adult human organotypic cortical slices undergo marked neuronal loss, laminar disruption, and glial activation, yet their network activity progressively stabilizes after a variable period. Electrophysiology, longitudinal calcium imaging, and quantitative histology show that structurally remodeled human circuits show adaptive capacity resulting in ...

Purpose: While positive resection margin (RM) in women undergoing breast-conserving surgery (BCS) represents a clear indication for re-resection, there is no unequivocal recommendation regarding the extent of the clear RM.
