Comparation of tumor-free margin or intralesional spondylectomy for chondrosarcoma in mobile spine: a retrospective study of surgery management, complications and prognosis

open access: yesJournal of Orthopaedic Surgery and Research
Study design Retrospective Cohort Study. Objectives Chondrosarcoma of mobile spine is a rare aggressive malignant tumor and postsurgical local recurrence rates remain high. En bloc resection is currently the preferred treatment.

Multimodal Imaging of Hypoxia, Metabolism and pH in Feline Sarcoma Using Hyperpolarized 13C MRI and PET

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work presents a clinically deployable simultaneous PET/MRI workflow which integrates hyperpolarized 13C imaging of metabolism and extracellular pH with [18F]FMISO PET to characterize hypoxia, acidosis, and metabolic reprogramming in feline sarcoma.

Margin setting with high-frequency data [PDF]

open access: yes
Both in practice and in the academic literature, models for setting margin requirements in futures markets classically use daily closing price changes. However, as well documented by research on high-frequency data, financial markets have recently shown ...

The influence of the distal resection margin length on local recurrence and long- term survival in patients with rectal cancer after chemoradiotherapy and sphincter- preserving rectal resection

open access: yesRadiology and Oncology, 2017
Low recurrence rates and long term survival are the main therapeutic goals of rectal cancer surgery. Complete, margin- negative resection confers the greatest chance for a cure.

Persistent Zn2+ Influx‐Mediated Deacetylation of ANXA2 Regulates the “Zn2+‐Autophagic Flux” and Alleviates Intervertebral Disc Degeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Zinc transporter SLC39A14 sustains intracellular Zn2+ levels to activate SIRT3‑dependent ANXA2 deacetylation at K302. This modification weakens ANXA2‑mTOR binding and releases autophagic‑flux suppression in nucleus pulposus cells. Dysregulated Zn2+ homeostasis disrupts this axis to drive intervertebral disc degeneration.

A Computational Routine for Disaggregating Industry Margin Data to Estimate Product Margin Rates [PDF]

open access: yes
Retail industry product margin rates are used to estimate the retail output proportion of final consumption commodities. The Census Bureau collects data on industry margin rates, but it does not collect product margin rate data.

The Use of Narrow-Band Imaging to Improve Pathological Margin in Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma: A Prospective Randomized Controlled Trial

open access: yesJournal of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery
Importance Intraoperative narrow-band imaging (NBI) has been used to improve superficial (mucosal) resection margin clearance in oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC).

Integrated Multi‐Omics Reveals Cellular States and Microenvironmental Remodeling in Coexisting DCIS and IDC

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Coexisting DCIS and IDC samples are profiled using spatial transcriptomics, single‐cell RNA sequencing, and single‐cell DNA sequencing. Integrative multi‐omics analysis reveals distinct malignant epithelial and microenvironmental features between DCIS and IDC, which are further validated using Xenium and multiplex immunohistochemistry.

Prognostic impact of lymph node and surgical margin in patients with perihilar cholangiocarcinoma

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Medical Research
Background The study aimed to assess the prognostic impact of lymph node (LN) metastasis combined with surgical margin status on the 5-year overall survival (OS) of patients after radical resection perihilar cholangiocarcinoma (PHCC).

CXCL3 Antagonism Reverses Systemic Antitumor Immune Memory Impairment Associated With High Tumor Burden and Sensitizes Anti‐PD‐1 Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reveals that large tumors secrete more chemokine CXCL3, which recruits immunosuppressive neutrophils to the periphery, thereby impairing the activation and memory of systemic tumor‑reactive CD8+ T cells. CXCL3 antagonism restores systemic immune memory and enhances the antitumor efficacy of anti‑PD‑1 therapy, offering a potential strategy to
