ABSTRACT Background Therapeutic apheresis (TA) is an established treatment modality for hematologic, neurologic, and immunologic disorders, yet access remains severely limited in sub‐Saharan Africa. Donor apheresis, including platelet apheresis collection from healthy donors, represents an important complementary modality supporting blood product ...

Resistive‐switching and current‐conduction mechanisms in F8BT polymer resistive switch
Poly[(9,9‐di‐n‐octylfluorenyl‐2,7‐diyl)‐alt‐(benzo[2,1,3]thiadiazol‐4,8‐diyl)] (F8BT) polymer has been investigated to elucidate the resistive‐switching properties in a sandwiched structure of indium tin oxide (ITO)/F8BT/aluminium (Al). An active layer of F8BT polymer was deposited on the ITO‐coated polyethylene terepthalate through spin coating ...

Self-Compliant Bipolar Resistive Switching in SiN-Based Resistive Switching Memory [PDF]
Here, we present evidence of self-compliant and self-rectifying bipolar resistive switching behavior in Ni/SiNx/n+ Si and Ni/SiNx/n++ Si resistive-switching random access memory devices. The Ni/SiNx/n++ Si device’s Si bottom electrode had a higher dopant concentration (As ion > 1019 cm−3) than the Ni/SiNx/n+ Si device; both unipolar and bipolar ...

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Resistive switching in Si2Te3 nanowires
As a silicon-based chalcogenide, semiconducting Si2Te3 has recently attracted attention as an emerging layered 2D material. Here, single-crystalline Si2Te3 nanowires (NWs) are synthesized by chemical vapor deposition (CVD). The Si2Te3 NWs grow along the [

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

Unipolar Resistance Switching in Polymeric Resistance Random Access Memories
We investigate the characteristic features of unipolar resistance switching in polymeric devices based on poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(styrene sulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS) and demonstrate the unipolar switching cycles controlled by a series resistor ...
