A partial factorization of the powersum formula
For any univariate polynomial P whose coefficients lie in an ordinary differential field đ˝ of characteristic zero, and for any constant indeterminate Îą, there exists a nonunique nonzero linear ordinary differential operator â of finite order such that ...

Computing the resolvent of composite operators [PDF]
Summary: Based in a very recent paper by \textit{C. A. Micchelli} et al. [Adv. Comput. Math. 38, No. 2, 401--426 (2013; Zbl 1275.65014)], we present an algorithmic approach for computing the resolvent of composite operators: the composition of a monotone operator and a continuous linear mapping.

We show that the majority of the 18 analyzed recurrent cancerâassociated ERBB4 mutations are transforming. The most potent mutations are activating, coâoperate with other ERBB receptors, and are sensitive to panâERBB inhibitors. Activating ERBB4 mutations also promote therapy resistance in EGFRâmutant lung cancer.

Hill's equation for a homogeneous tree
The analysis of Hill's operator $-D^2 + q(x)$ for $q$ even and periodic is extended from the real line to homogeneous trees ${cal T}$. Generalizing the classical problem, a detailed analysis of Hill's equation and its related operator theory on $L^2({cal

Etoposide induces DNA damage, activating p53âdependent apoptosis via caspaseâ3/7, which cleaves PARP1. Dammarenediol II enhances this apoptotic pathway by suppressing OâGlcNAc transferase activity, further decreasing OâGlcNAcylation. The reduction in OâGlcNAc levels boosts p53âdriven apoptosis and influences the Akt/GSK3β/mTOR signaling pathway ...

As an extension of the fact that a sectorial operator can determine an analytic semigroup, we first show that a sectorial operator can determine a real analytic alpha-order fractional resolvent which is defined in terms of Mittag-Leffler function and ...

The Classical Geometry of Chaotic Green Functions and Wigner Functions
Semiclassical (SC) approximations for various representations of a quantum state are constructed on a single (Lagrangian) surface in the phase space but such surface is not available for chaotic systems.

Tumourâhost interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour microâ and macroenvironment
This review examines how tumourâhost crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organismâwide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Microfluidic electroâviscoelastic manipulation of extracellular vesicles
The electroâviscoelastic manipulation as a potential method for separation of particles based on size. The particles introduced as a sheath flow migrate to the channel center under the influence of simultaneously applied electric field and pressure driven flow.
