ABSTRACT The Red Fox (Vulpes vulpes) can be hunted as a game species. It may also be listed as a “species likely to cause damage” (ESOD – the acronym in French), for public health reasons among others. Conversely, benefits linked to the presence of foxes are also put forward, such as the predation of rodents carrying zoonotic agents.

Human parainfluenza virus fusion complex glycoproteins imaged in action on authentic viral surfaces.
Infection by human parainfluenza viruses (HPIVs) causes widespread lower respiratory diseases, including croup, bronchiolitis, and pneumonia, and there are no vaccines or effective treatments for these viruses.

Phylogenetic lineage dynamics of global parainfluenza virus type 3 post-COVID-19 pandemic
During the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, outbreaks of parainfluenza virus type 3 (PIV-3) decreased due to infection control measures. However, a post-pandemic resurgence of PIV-3 has recently been observed.
