Novel triplex nucleic acid lateral flow immuno-assay (NALFIA) for rapid detection of Nipah virus, Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus and Reston ebolavirus

2022
AbstractWe report the development of the first triplex Nucleic Acid Lateral Flow Assay (NALFIA) for detection of genomes of Nipah virus (NiV), Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus (MERS-CoV) and Reston ebolavirus (REBOV), intended for screening of bats as well as other hosts and reservoirs of these three viruses.

Association of Ebola-related Reston virus particles and antigen with tissue lesions of monkeys imported to the United States

Journal of Comparative Pathology, 1992
During 1989-1990, an epizootic involving a filovirus closely related to Ebola virus occurred in a Reston, Virginia, primate-holding facility. Tissues were collected from cynomolgus monkeys and examined by electron microscopy and immunohistochemistry for Ebola-related viral antigen.

Molecular characterization of an isolate from the 1989/90 epizootic of Ebola virus Reston among macaques imported into the United States

Virus Research, 2002
We have determined the entire genomic sequence of the Pennsylvania strain, which was isolated along with the Virginia strain during the emergence of Ebola virus Reston in 1989/90 in the United States. Thus, either the Pennsylvania or Virginia strain, neither of which had been previously molecularly characterized, can be considered as the prototype for ...

Detection of Ebola-Reston (Filoviridae) virus antibody by dot-immunobinding assay.

Laboratory animal science, 1996
Thirty human and nonhuman primate sera tested at the Centers for Disease Control by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), immunofluorescent antibody assay (IFA), and Western blotting were retested at the Virus Reference Laboratory, Inc. by the dot-immunobinding assay (DIA).

Genome structure of Ebola virus subtype Reston: differences among Ebola subtypes. Brief report.

Archives of virology, 2001
We determined the complete genome sequence of Ebola virus subtype Reston (EBO-R) in the Philippines in 1996. The deduced transcriptional signals were highly conserved among Ebola viruses except for the stop signal of L genes. The intergenic regions were composed of 4 to 7 nucleotides, and of 2 characteristic overlaps and a long intergenic region.

[Real-time PCR Detection Method for the Reston Subtype of the Ebola Virus].

Bing du xue bao = Chinese journal of virology, 2015
We aimed to develop a real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR) detection method for the Reston subtype of the Ebola virus. The NP gene of the Reston subtype of the Ebola virus was selected as the detection object. Sequences of different subtypes of Ebola viruses were aligned using Clustal W software. The most unique and conserved regions of the Reston
