Natural Products as Geroprotective Modulators in Diabetic Nephropathy: A Mechanistic Framework Integrating Aging Hallmarks and the AMPK–SIRT1–Nrf2 Axis

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
Natural products target the aging kidney in diabetic nephropathy by restoring the AMPK–SIRT1–Nrf2 axis, reducing oxidative stress, inflammation, fibrosis, and cellular senescence while enhancing mitochondrial biogenesis and antioxidant defenses.

Hybrid Nanofibers for Multimodal Accelerated Wound Healing

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Fabrication of wound healing scaffolds based on biocompatible nanofibers. Nanofibers offering high surface area, flexibility, and biocompatibility significantly improved the healing outcome in vivo. Histological, immunological, and anti‐inflammatory markers are noticeably better in treated wounds.

Resveratrol improves ex vivo mitochondrial function but does not affect insulin sensitivity or brown adipose tissue in first degree relatives of patients with type 2 diabetes

open access: yesMolecular Metabolism, 2018
Objective: Resveratrol supplementation improves metabolic health in healthy obese men, but not in patients with type 2 diabetes (T2D) when given as add-on therapy.

Evaluation of Hungarian Wines for Resveratrol by Overpressured Layer Chromatography [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
A method, including solid phase extraction sample preparation, overpressured layer chromatographic separation and subsequent densitometric evaluation, was developed for measurement of total resveratrol (cis- and trans-isomers) content of wine. The amount

The Mitochondrial Guardian α‐Amyrin Mitigates Alzheimer's Disease Pathology via Modulation of the DLK‐SARM1‐ULK1 Axis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Dietary habits play a key role in chronic diseases, and higher annual consumption of fruit and vegetable may lower risk of dementia. Artificial intelligence predicts the lipid‐like compound α‐Amyrin (αA) from plants with edible peels as a drug candidate against Alzheimer's disease.

ISOLATION AND IDENTIFICATION STRUCTURE OF RESVERATROL AND THEIR ACTIVITY TEST AS ANTIOXIDANT AND UV-B PROTECTION FROM STEM BARK OF MELINJO (GNETUM GNEMON) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Resveratrol (1) had been isolated from the stem bark of melinjo (Gnetum gnemon). The structure of this compound were elucidated based on physical and spectroscopic data (UV, IR, 1H and 13C NMR).
