A Community-Based Accommodation Program for Adults with Autism and Mental Retardation [PDF]
There is a paucity of treatment literature for significant and intractable behavior problems in adults with autism and mental retardation. Four adults with autism, severe to profound mental retardation, and serious, long-term behavior problems ...

Retardation Terms in The One-Gluon Exchange Potential
It is pointed out that the retardation terms given in the original Fermi-Breit potential vanish in the center of mass frame. The retarded one-gluon exchange potential is rederived in this paper from the three-dimensional one-gluon exchange kernel which ...

ABSTRACT Introduction Patients with ovarian cancer often present with massive ascites, leading to significant protein loss during surgical procedures. Although cell‐free concentrated ascites reinfusion therapy (CART) is used in palliative settings to mitigate protein loss, its application in intraoperative settings remains unexplored.

Screening, Coulomb pseudopotential, and superconductivity in alkali-doped Fullerenes
We study the static screening in a Hubbard-like model using quantum Monte Carlo. We find that the random phase approximation is surprisingly accurate almost up to the Mott transition. We argue that in alkali-doped Fullerenes the Coulomb pseudopotential $\

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Hematopoietic (stem) cells—The elixir of life?
The aging of HSCs (hematopoietic stem cells) and the blood system leads to the decline of other organs. Rejuvenating aged HSCs improves the function of the blood system, slowing the aging of the heart, kidney, brain, and liver, and the occurrence of age‐related diseases.

Multiple Coupled Mathematical Model for Radionuclide Electromigration Experiments in Granites
Granite is considered an ideal medium for geological disposal of nuclear waste due to its unique stability and wide distribution. When the repository media barrier fails, granite serves as the peripheral rock medium.

This work reports on an experimental study of the fast stretching of a cyclic olefin copolymer (COC) film. We measured the stress retardation of the polymer film during fast stretching and identified a relationship between stress and birefringence.
