Epigenotoxicity: Decoding the epigenetic imprints of genotoxic agents and their implications for regulatory genetic toxicology

open access: yesEnvironmental and Molecular Mutagenesis, EarlyView.
Abstract Regulatory genetic toxicology focuses on DNA damage and subsequent gene mutations. However, genotoxic agents can also affect epigenetic marks, and incorporation of epigenetic data into the regulatory framework may thus enhance the accuracy of risk assessment.

Genetic epilepsies with myoclonic seizures: Mechanisms and syndromes

open access: yesEpilepsia Open, EarlyView.
Abstract Genetic epilepsy with myoclonic seizures encompasses a heterogeneous spectrum of conditions, ranging from benign and self‐limiting forms to severe, progressive disorders. While their causes are diverse, a significant proportion stems from genetic abnormalities.

Effects of dietary retinoic acid on cellular retinol- and retinoic acid-binding protein levels in various rat tissues.

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 1990
A study was conducted to explore the effects of retinoic acid, fed to retinol-deficient rats, on the tissue distribution and levels of cellular retinol-binding protein (CRBP) and cellular retinoic acid-binding protein (CRABP).

Microglial Activation and Inflammatory Responses in Parkinson's Disease Models Are Attenuated by TRPM2 Depletion

open access: yesGlia, EarlyView.
Trpm2 partial and complete knockout reduce neuroinflammation in male and female mice. Microglial morphological changes are not found in Trpm2 knockout 6‐OHDA‐induced mice. TRPM2 is involved in microglial phagocytosis and IL1β, IL6, and iNOS expression. ABSTRACT Inflammation, and particularly microglial cells, has become a central feature in Parkinson's

Retinoic acid syndrome in a elderly male with psoriasis- A case report

open access: yesRespiratory Medicine Case Reports, 2018
The retinoic acid derivatives are used for disorders of keratinization such as psoriasis. Retinoic acid syndrome is a cytokine release syndrome, commonly encountered in patients with acute promyelocytic leukaemia (APL).
