Neuronal differentiation and tissue engineering strategies for central neurous system injury repair
This review outlines tissue engineering advances for central nervous system (CNS) injury treatment, focusing on three core components: seed cells, inductive factors, and scaffold materials, with evaluation of their respective strengths and limitations. Tissue engineering for CNS injury repair.

Advancing design strategies in smart stimulus‐responsive liposomes for drug release and nanomedicine
Schematic illustration of stimulus‐responsive liposomes designed for controlled drug release and nanomedicine. The innermost circle represents different liposomal structures, including unilamellar, multilamellar, and multivesicular liposomes. The middle layer illustrates the responsive phospholipid components.

COVID-19: Endogenous Retinoic Acid Theory and Retinoic Acid Depletion Syndrome
This study presents two new concepts and definitions to the medical literature. One of those is "endogenous retinoic acid theory" and the other "retinoic acid depletion syndrome". A new classification will be provided for the immune system: "retinoic acid-dependent component" and "retinoic acid non-dependent component".

Mapping molluscan endocrinology: a systematic and critical appraisal
ABSTRACT Historically, a vertebrate‐centric paradigm has framed our interpretation of molluscan endocrinology, with considerable research focusing on vertebrate‐type steroid hormones (e.g. oestrogens, testosterone). However, contradictory evidence on the occurrence of vertebrate‐type steroid hormones in molluscan tissues, and a lack of the specific ...

Differential Retinoic Acid Signaling in Tumors of Long- and Short-term Glioblastoma Survivors [PDF]
Although the prognosis of most glioblastoma patients is poor, 3%-5% patients show long-term survival of 36 months or longer after diagnosis. To study the differences in activation of biochemical pathways, we performed mRNA and protein expression analyses

RORγt‐APCs: The New Masters of Oral Tolerance
ABSTRACT Oral tolerance is defined by the hypo‐responsiveness of our body to fed antigens, and its failure can lead to immune‐mediated diseases, such as allergy, chronic inflammation and autoimmune diseases. Decades of research have demonstrated that antigen‐presenting cells (APCs) promote oral tolerance by inducing regulatory T cells (Tregs) and/or ...
