Abstract DNA methylation controls DNA accessibility to transcription factors and other regulatory proteins, thereby affecting gene expression and hence cellular identity and function. As epigenetic modifications control the transcriptome, epigenetic dysfunction is strongly associated with pathological conditions and ageing.

Treating Hematological Malignancies With OR‐2100, an Orally Bioavailable Prodrug of Decitabine
We have developed a silylated derivative of decitabine, OR‐2100, which is resistant to degradation by cytidine deaminase and orally bioavailable. In this article, we review the current status of DNA demethylating agents for treating hematological malignancies, with a focus on OR‐2100. ABSTRACT DNA methylation is an enzyme‐driven epigenetic modification

Hyaluronan treatment of biotinylated packaging cells increases titre of progeny retrovirus affinity-captured onto paramagnetic particles [PDF]
BACKGROUND: The polysaccharide hyaluronan is a major component of the extracellular matrix and has been observed to impact retrovirus infectivity in biological settings.

Our findings show that feeder cells expressing CD80, 41BBL and membrane‐bound IL‐21 promote optimal NK cell expansion. We also evaluated CAR transduction efficiency into expanded NK cells using different lentiviral vectors. The results indicate that NK cells transduced with the BaeV lentivirus exhibit high cytotoxicity toward target cells.
