Self-recovery reversible image watermarking algorithm

open access: yesPLOS ONE, 2018
The integrity of image content is essential, although most watermarking algorithms can achieve image authentication but not automatically repair damaged areas or restore the original image. In this paper, a self-recovery reversible image watermarking algorithm is proposed to recover the tampered areas effectively.

On the asymptotic flux of ultrapermeable seawater reverse osmosis membranes due to concentration polarisation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Just as thermodynamic considerations impose a finite limit on the energy requirements of reverse osmosis, concentration polarisation imposes a finite limit on flux, or equivalently, on system size.

Reverse Logistics: End-of-Life Recovery Pledge [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
To draw conclusions from discussing the topics in sustainable engineering management, the compulsory targets are recognised to establish characterising facts, driven by economic instruments (Hang, 2006), (Knight, 1965): ï‚· the producers responsibility principle, as it surfaces from the EU directives, with regards of the dismissal/ dismantling/recovery

The Effect of the Pillar Ripple on the Reverse Recovery in Superjunction MOSFETs

open access: yesPower Electronic Devices and Components, 2022
Fast dI/dt and oscillations often are the causes of failure during the reverse-recovery of superjunction MOSFETs. These issues become more prominent with shrinking the pitch size of the superjunction in an attempt to improve the overall performance from ...

Spontaneous recovery after reversal and partial reinforcement [PDF]

open access: yesLearning & Behavior, 2007
Six experiments used magazine approach in rat subjects to explore changes with time in responding for stimuli brought to a common moderate level of performance through acquisition or extinction. They found no evidence for increases with time in behavior during stimuli given simple acquisition.

Experimental Study on Conformance Control Using Acidic Nanoparticles in a Heterogeneous Reservoir by Flue Gas Flooding

open access: yesEnergies, 2022
Flue gas flooding has been applied in many oilfields for its accessibility and low cost. However, the problem of gas channeling during flue gas flooding is significantly more serious due to reservoir heterogeneity and gravity override, and the ...

Myocardial Recovery

open access: yesDiagnostics, 2023
In this paper, the feasibility of myocardial recovery is analyzed through a literature review. First, the phenomena of remodeling and reverse remodeling are analyzed, approached through the physics of elastic bodies, and the terms myocardial depression ...

Prospects and Challenges of 4H-SiC Thyristors in Protection of HB-MMC-VSC-HVDC Converters

open access: yesIEEE Open Journal of Power Electronics, 2021
Pole-to-pole DC faults on HB-MMC-VSC-HVDC schemes impose significant risk of cascade failure on IGBT/diode pairs. Other novel topologies with fault blocking capability, i.e. AAC converters, and DC circuit breakers are not yet fully matured.

A novel SiC trench MOSFET with integrated Schottky barrier diode for improved reverse recovery charge and switching loss

open access: yesIET Power Electronics, 2021
In this paper, a novel silicon carbide (SiC) trench metal oxide semiconductor field effect transistor (MOSFET) with improved reverse recovery charge and switching energy loss is proposed and investigated utilising ISE‐TCAD simulations.
