Fine-mapping identifies multiple prostate cancer risk loci at 5p15, one of which associates with TERT expression [PDF]
, 2013 Associations between single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) at 5p15 and multiple cancer types have been reported. We have previously shown evidence for a strong association between prostate cancer (PrCa) risk and rs2242652 at 5p15, intronic in the ...Hayes, R B, Schumacher, Fredrick, Severi, G., Berndt, S.I., Advanced Science, EarlyView.Zn exposure up‐regulates GATA1, promoting GATA1‐mediated METTL1 and SLC7A11 transcription. It also enhances METTL1‐mediated m7G modification on SLC7A11 mRNA, increasing SLC7A11 mRNA stability. Ultimately, Zn exposure up‐regulates SLC7A11 at both transcriptional and post‐transcriptional levels, causing disulfidptosis. Advanced Science, EarlyView. The PBTN targets GRP78 and, upon X‐ray irradiation, generates ONOO− to induce immunogenic cell death, thereby activating CD8+ T cells and establishing a systemic antitumor immune response. ABSTRACT
Nitric oxide (NO) treated radioresistant tumors by relieving hypoxia and blocking DNA repair, but its nonselective toxicity has precluded therapeutic use ...Wanze Zhang, Xiaoyan Yin, Ting Wang, Hongfu Zhao, Zhipeng Zhao, Jinbao Wang, Cheng Tao, Xuanchu Ge, Yanze Li, Linlin Liu, Fuxin Xue +10 morewiley +1 more sourceCombating VEGFA‐siRNA‐Induced Metabolic Reprogramming via Glucose Utilization Deprivation
Advanced Science, EarlyView. An ionizable lipid nanoparticle co‐delivers VEGFA siRNA and glucose oxidase to tumors to counteract VEGFA knockdown‐induced, glutamine‐driven metabolic compensation. Enzymatic glucose consumption reverses the adaptive pathways and restores metabolism toward baseline, thereby sensitizing tumors to therapy.Lulu Zheng, Shuai Guo, Yingjixing Luo, Pengfei Wu, Haiyin Yang, Yingqiu Xie, Yuchuan Fan, Qing Liu, Bo Hu, Jia Huang, Yuanyu Huang +10 morewiley +1 more sourceMolecular Glue cc‐885 Inhibits VHL‐Deficient Clear Cell Renal Cell Carcinoma via ETS1 Degradation
Advanced Science, EarlyView.VHL‐deficient kidney cancer lacks effective treatments. This study reveals that the molecular glue degrader cc‐885 hijacks the cellular recycling system to selectively destroy the oncogenic protein ETS1, effectively killing VHL‐mutant tumors. Combining CC‐885 with the approved drug belzutifan achieves powerful synergy, offering a promising new ...Taowei Yang, Qihao Li, Kun Ye, Kezhi Liu, Mi Zhou, Minyu Chen, Lican Liao, Kangbo Huang, Zhu Wang, Qiong Deng, Jieyan Wang, Meiyu Jin, Xu Chen, Hui Liang, Jiaxing Zhang, Junhang Luo +15 morewiley +1 more sourceMethoxyflavones from as HIV-1 Reverse Transcriptase Inhibitors
