Fabrication of Carbon Nanodots/Platinum Functionalized Nanocomposite Hydrogel Formulation for Near‐Infrared Responsive Delivery of Doxorubicin to Promote Necroptosis for Mitigating Lung Cancer Cells: In Vitro Photodynamic Therapy

open access: yesMacromolecular Materials and Engineering, EarlyView.
Representation of fabrication of carbon nanodots/platinum functionalized nanocomposite hydrogel formulation for near‐infrared responsive delivery of doxorubicin for lung cancer treatment. Abstract Lung cancer remains one of the deadliest cancers, marked by uncontrolled cell growth in the lungs and often diagnosed at later stages.

The Expression of hTERT mRNA and p16 Protein in Non-small Cell Lung Cancer

open access: yesChinese Journal of Lung Cancer, 2009
Background and objective hTERT and p16 are involved in oncogenesis and development of tumor. The aim of this study is to investigate the expression of human telomerase reverse transcriptase (hTERT) and p16 in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).

A design proposal of the reverse DNA polymerase (3'-5' direction) [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2013
DNA Polymerase is an enzyme that participates in the process of DNA replication. In general, forward DNA polymerase moves along the template strand in a 3'-5' direction, and the daughter strand is formed in a 5'-3' direction. This paper theoretically analyzes the mechanism of forward DNA polymerase, and gives the design proposal of a new reverse DNA ...

Dysregulation of Monounsaturated Fatty Acids is Related to α‐Synuclein in Multiple System Atrophy

open access: yesMovement Disorders, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Multiple system atrophy (MSA) is a neurodegenerative disease pathologically characterized by the presence of glial cytoplasmic inclusions (GCI) composed of α‐synuclein aggregates. In Parkinson's disease, increases in monounsaturated fatty acids (MUFA) in phospholipid membranes promote α‐synuclein binding, aggregation, and toxicity ...

Harmonic moments of non homogeneous branching processes [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2005
We study the harmonic moments of Galton-Watson processes, possibly non homogeneous, with positive values. Good estimates of these are needed to compute unbiased estimators for non canonical branching Markov processes, which occur, for instance, in the modeling of the polymerase chain reaction.

Evaluation of the Antioxidant, Anticancer, and Antibacterial Activities of Flower and Leaf Extracts of Chrysanthemum indicum

open access: yesChemistryOpen, EarlyView.
The tested methanolic extract of Chrysanthemum indicum flower and leaf is a rich source of bioactive molecules with significant antioxidant activity at low doses, potential anticancer effects at lower concentrations, and antimicrobial activities against Gram‐positive and Gram‐negative species, which is consistent with the plant's traditional ...

THE APLICATION OF REVERSE TRANSCRIPTASE-POLYMERASE CHAIN REACTION FOR THE DIAGNOSIS OF CANINE DISTEMPER

open access: yesJurnal Veteriner, 2008
A study was conducted to apply reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) technique for the confirmative diagnosis of canine distemper in dogs. Twenty mongreal dogs with clinical symptoms of canine distemper were used in this study.
