Shigellosis in rhesus monkeys in quarantine [PDF]

Shigellae and salmonellae were isolated both from rhesus monkeys that displayed and from others that were free from signs of enteric disease. There was some resistance in vitro among the shigellae to chloramphenicol and to streptomycin, but none to furazolidone.

Gut Microbiota of Gray Snub‐Nosed Monkeys: Adaptation to Seasonal Variations Through Energy Compensation and Thermogenesis

Based on metagenome‐assembled genomes (MAGs), the gut microbiota of the gray snub‐nosed monkeys recovered 1229 non‐redundant MAGs. The gut microbiota showed an enhanced capacity to produce energy substrates with increased conversion activity of these substrates during winter.

We introduce the MacBrain Resource Center (MBRC) Collections of rhesus macaque embryonic brain tissue. Here, we illustrate histo‐ and immunohistology from our dynamically growing Collection 6, which currently contains >10,000 zoomable and downloadable images from n = 14 male and female embryos from early to late in gestation.
