Isolation and characterisation of mesenchymal stem cells from rat bone marrow and the endosteal niche: A comparative study [PDF]
Within bone, mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs) exist within the bone marrow stroma (BM-MSC) and the endosteal niche, as cells lining compact bone (CB-MSCs).

Methylation at position 32 of tRNA catalyzed by TrmJ alters oxidative stress response in Pseudomonas aeruginosa [PDF]
Bacteria respond to environmental stresses using a variety of signaling and gene expression pathways, with translational mechanisms being the least well understood.

Mutarotation of tetramethylglucose catalyzed by ribonucleosides
Abstract The inherent catalytic ability of various 2′, 3′, 5′ tri-OTBS protected RNA nucleosides in facilitating mutarotation of tetramethylglucose in benzene was investigated. Nucleosides A, G, and Ψ showed modest rate enhancements (3–5 fold) over the uncatalyzed rate whereas C demonstrated a rate increase of over 20-fold.

Globally, sickle cell disease (SCD) is the most common inherited haemoglobinopathy. The highest burden of SCD is encountered in low‐ and middle‐income countries (LMICs), most of which lack the resources to contend with the disease. Blood transfusion remains central to the emergent treatment and prevention of complications of SCD.

Purine and pyrimidine antagonism in a pyrimidine-deficient mutant of Neurospora [PDF]
The present study is concerned with the inhibition of growth of the pyrimidine-deficient Neurospora mutant, No. 1298, by the naturally occurring purine ribonucleotides and ribonucleosides.

miR‐486‐5p Inhibits eNOS and Angiogenesis in Cultured Endothelial Cells by Targeting MAML3
ABSTRACT Kidney ischemia–reperfusion (I/R) is associated with endothelial injury. Administration of miRNA (miR)‐486‐5p protects against rat kidney I/R injury, with localisation to capillary endothelial cells, although it inhibits I/R‐induced endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS) protein expression.
