Perisynaptic GABA Receptors: The Overzealous Protector

open access: yesAdvances in Pharmacological Sciences, 2012
An attempt to find pharmacological therapies to treat stroke patients and minimize the extent of cell death has seen the failure of dozens of clinical trials. As a result, stroke/cerebral ischemia is the leading cause of lasting adult disability.

Dual‐Mode Photovoltaic Bidirectional Inverter Operation for Seamless Power Transfer to DC and AC Loads with the Grid Interface

open access: yesInternational Journal of Photoenergy, Volume 2019, Issue 1, 2019., 2019
This paper develops the photovoltaic bidirectional inverter (BI) operated in dual mode for the seamless power transfer to DC and AC loads. Normal photovoltaic (PV) output voltage is fed to boost converter, but in space application, boost converter is not so preferable. To overcome this, buck and boost converters are proposed in this paper.

For special purposes only: Ceramic casting moulds from the late Bronze and Early Iron Age metallurgical workshop in Grzybiany (SW Poland)

open access: yesArchaeometry, Volume 67, Issue 2, Page 482-501, April 2025.
Abstract Ceramic moulds are regarded as highly specialised, refractory tools used in metallurgy, yet their production process still needs clarification. Our research aimed to characterise the stages of operational chains applied in mould manufacture. The evidence comes from the Late Bronze and Early Iron Age lake settlement in Grzybiany in SW Poland ...

Development of calcium sulfoaluminate cements from rich‐alumina bauxite and marble wastes: Physicochemical and microstructural characterization

open access: yesInternational Journal of Ceramic Engineering &Science, Volume 6, Issue 3, May 2024.
Abstract This work discusses the effect of rich alumina bauxite on the mineralogical composition of calcium sulfoaluminate (CSA) clinker cement on their performances. After preparation of different local raw materials (rich alumina bauxite and marble), they were mixed with 15 wt% of commercial gypsum and pressed at 2 MPa.
