To understand the mechanism of gamma-monomethyl (meppp) cap formation, we attempted to identify and purify the U6 small nuclear RNA capping enzyme. Although more than one protein was cross-linked to U6, 7SK, B2, or plant U3 RNA, only one protein of approximately 130 kDa was common to all four meppp-capped RNAs; 5 S RNA, which is an uncapped RNA, was ...

Dinucleoside tetraphosphates (Np4N) have been reported as 5′ caps of RNAs in bacteria and mammalian cells. The guanosine‐based version (Gp4N) resembles the canonical eukaryotic 5′ cap (m7Gp3N), which is a central platform for cap‐interacting proteins ...

Nanocellulose, derived from microcrystalline cellulose (MCC) through sulfuric acid hydrolysis or mechanical grinding to produce CNC or CNF, was tested in a rat ICP model. Particularly, CNF improved gut microbiota composition, reduced secondary bile acid metabolism, and restored bile acid homeostasis through modulation of the gut–liver axis.

CD4+ Tregs Drive Post‐Ischemic Sprouting Angiogenesis via Endothelial YY1/MAML1 Reactivation
ABSTRACT Microvascular complications of diabetes are chronic diseases of small vessels. We previously found that CD4+ regulatory T‐cells (Tregs) are markedly reduced in type 2 diabetes (T2D) after ischemic injury in both mice and humans, and that Treg deficiency in immunodeficient mice impairs vascular regeneration.

Multidrug‐resistant Vibrio infections are rising rapidly and threaten coastal populations worldwide. This study introduces D‐zp37, a chirality‐engineered antimicrobial peptide with exceptional potency against resistant Vibrio species. D‐zp37 kills planktonic cells, blocks mixed‐species biofilms, disrupts essential bacterial stress responses, and shows ...

Bone cancer pain and depression share a common origin: astrocytic A2‐to‐A1 transition in the posterior piriform cortex. This phenotypic shift disrupts the ATP–adenosine–A2AR–norepinephrine axis, simultaneously driving nociceptive and affective dysfunction.
