Formation of mos RNA granules in the zebrafish oocyte that differ from cyclin B1 RNA granules in distribution, density and regulation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Many translationally repressed mRNAs are deposited in the oocyte cytoplasm for progression of the meiotic cell cycle and early development. mos and cyclin B1 mRNAs encode proteins promoting oocyte meiosis, and translational control of these mRNAs is ...

SemanticST: A Scalable Multi‐Contextual Graph Learning Framework for Uncovering Spatial Niches and Robust Multi‐Sample Integration in Spatial Transcriptomics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Technical limitations often let dominant signals overshadow rare cell types and fine‐grained heterogeneity in spatial transcriptomics. SemanticST, a graph neural network using multi‐semantic graph fusion and a novel min‐cut loss, recovers these subtle patterns.

RNA granules and cytoskeletal links

open access: yes, 2014
In eukaryotic cells, non-translating mRNAs can accumulate into cytoplasmic mRNP (messenger ribonucleoprotein) granules such as P-bodies (processing bodies) and SGs (stress granules).

Repurposing a Small Molecule Plant Hormone as a Tunable ON‐Switch for CAR‐T Cell Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
By engineering a receptor system integrating the plant auxin receptor AFB1 with its co‐receptor IAA7, we enable ligand‐dependent interactions triggered by the plant hormone auxins. This design allows rapid, reversible, and dose‐dependent T cell activation, resulting in potent cytotoxicity against B‐cell lymphoma in vitro and in vivo.

Ferroptosis Suppression by the M6A Reader IGF2BP1 Underlies Gemcitabine Resistance in Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
IGF2BP1 promotes gemcitabine resistance in pancreatic cancer by stabilizing m6A‐modified FTH1 transcripts and protecting them in stress granules, thereby suppressing ferroptosis. Pharmacological inhibition of IGF2BP1 disrupts this protective pathway, restores ferroptotic sensitivity, and enhances gemcitabine efficacy in resistant tumors.

Polystyrene Nanoplastics Drive β‐Cell Dedifferentiation Through Dendritic Cell‐Intrinsic MHC‐I‐Dependent Inflammatory Crosstalk

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Polystyrene nanoplastics disrupt pancreatic immune–endocrine homeostasis by promoting MHC‐I‐associated dendritic cell activation and inflammatory crosstalk with β cells. This immune remodeling drives β‐cell dedifferentiation, impairs insulin secretion, and aggravates metabolic dysfunction, revealing a previously unrecognized immunometabolic mechanism ...
