Field samples from breeder duck farms with egg‐production decline were subjected to viral detection, genome sequencing, and virus isolation. Experimental infection demonstrated that duck orbivirus (DORV) causes a significant and persistent reduction in egg production in breeder ducks.

Stress granules are cytoplasmic foci that directly respond to the protein synthesis status of the cell. Various environmental insults, such as oxidative stress or extreme heat, block protein synthesis; consequently, mRNA will stall in translation, and ...

DEAD-box RNA helicases eIF4A and Ded1 are believed to promote translation initiation by resolving mRNA secondary structures that impede ribosome attachment at the mRNA 5′ end or subsequent scanning of the 5′ UTR, but whether they perform unique or ...

The ATPase cycle of PcrA helicase and its coupling to translocation on DNA. [PDF]
The superfamily 1 bacterial helicase PcrA has a role in the replication of certain plasmids, acting with the initiator protein (RepD) that binds to and nicks the double-stranded origin of replication.

DEAD-Box RNA Helicases in Gram-Positive RNA Decay
DEAD-box RNA helicases are important players in eukaryotic and bacterial RNA metabolism. A helicase from Staphylococcus aureus was recently shown to affect RNA decay, most likely via its interaction with the proposed Gram-positive degradosome. Some, but not all, RNAs are stabilized when the helicase CshA is mutated, and among the affected RNAs is the ...

A Mechanistic Model of rAAV Production in Synthetic Cell Lines
ABSTRACT The recombinant adeno‐associated virus (rAAV) is a widely used vector for gene therapy. Its manufacturing faces significant challenges in producing the large quantities of vectors needed for clinical applications and reducing empty particles.

Functional roles of DExD/H-box RNA helicases in Pre-mRNA splicing
Splicing of precursor mRNA takes place via two consecutive steps of transesterification catalyzed by a large ribonucleoprotein complex called the spliceosome. The spliceosome is assembled through ordered binding to the pre-mRNA of five small nuclear RNAs

Abstract Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), ranking as the third leading cause of cancer‐related mortality globally, continues to pose significant therapeutic challenges. Here, we developed an innovative nanosystem, Phl@PT, based on Pt‐TiO2 nanoparticles for the co‐delivery of Phlorezin, presenting a novel approach for HCC treatment through sonodynamic ...
