Multiple roles of arginine/serine-rich splicing factors in RNA processing.

Biochemical Society Transactions, 2005
SR proteins (serine- and arginine-rich proteins) are an evolutionarily conserved family consisting of essential pre-mRNA splicing factors. Since their discovery and initial characterization, roles of SR proteins in pre-mRNA splicing and in subsequent ...

Globin messenger RNA synthesis and processing during haemoglobin induction in friend cells. I. Evidence for transcriptional control in clone M2

Cell Differentiation, 1974
Abstract On exposure to 1.5–2% dimethylsulphoxide (DMSO) the M2 clone of the Friend erythroleukaemic cell is induced to form large amounts of haemoglobin. Complementary DNA (cDNA) synthesised on a template of mouse globin mRNA was used to measure the concentration of mRNA in RNA from different cell compartments.

RNA processing and Arabidopsis flowering time control.

Biochemical Society Transactions, 2004
Plants control their flowering time in order to ensure that they reproduce under favourable conditions. The components involved in this complex process have been identified using a molecular genetic approach in Arabidopsis and classified into genetically

Processing and turn-over of small non-coding RNA OxyS in E. coli & post-transcriptional regulation of RpoS levels by small non-coding RNAs OxyS and DsrA and the Hfq protein in E. coli

2010

Post-transcriptional monoadenylation by TENT2 terminates human RNA polymerase III transcript 3' end processing and promotes 7SL RNA biogenesis.

bioRxiv : the preprint server for biology
Small non-coding RNAs (sncRNAs) are subject to a variety of 3' end trimming and tailing activities during biogenesis, which dictate whether they undergo maturation or are instead subjected to degradation. To investigate the dynamics of human sncRNA 3' end processing at a global level we performed genome-wide 3' end sequencing of nascently-transcribed ...
