Transcript Identification Using Arrayed Hydrogels With TrapFISH

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
TrapFISH is a novel method for high‐throughput single‐cell transcriptomics. It embeds cells in hyaluronic acid hydrogel beads and uses probe hybridization to quantify custom gene panels. By arraying hydrogels in microfluidic devices, cell barcoding is removed, enhancing scalability for studying cellular heterogeneity and rare cell states by targeting ...

Single‐Layer Radially Compartmentalized Paper Chip (RCP‐Chip) for Rapid Isothermal Multiplex Detection of SARS‐CoV‐2 Gene Targets

open access: yesAdvanced Sensor Research, EarlyView.
The single‐layer RCP‐Chip enables rapid, multiplexed detection of SARS‐CoV‐2 RNA using RT‐LAMP and gold nanoparticle‐enhanced colorimetric readouts. After sample loading, amplification occurs within radially arranged chambers, allowing simultaneous detection of E and N genes.

Mimicking Biochemical Traits with a Synthetic Lipid Nanoparticles SARS‐COV‐2 Model

open access: yesAdvanced Therapeutics, Volume 8, Issue 6, June 2025.
A synthetic virus model developed using lipid nanoparticles, which incorporate encapsulated mRNA and nucleocapsid (N) protein along with surface‐conjugated spike (S) protein, mimics the characteristics of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS‐CoV‐2), allowing for the advancement of diagnostic product assessment.

Opportunities in Therapeutic mRNA Stabilization: Sequence, Structure, Adjuvants and Vectors

open access: yesAdvanced Therapeutics, Volume 8, Issue 6, June 2025.
Current mRNA lipid nanoparticles rely on cold storage, which increases the cost and reduces access to the vaccines. As mRNA expands to other clinical opportunities, better methods to stabilize the medicines during shipping, storage, and delivery are needed.
