Abstract Soil‐borne pathogens reduce the performance of key food crops in sub‐Saharan Africa. Diversified cropping and nutrient management can enhance soil and plant health, limiting pathogen damage. To examine how management and soil health changes influence soil‐borne pathogens, we leveraged an 18‐year field trial in western Kenya, evaluating ...

Anti-Angiogenic Activity of Rotenoids from the Stems of Derris trifoliata
The plants in the genus Derris have proven to be a rich source of rotenoids, of which cytotoxic effect against cancer cells seem to be pronounced. However, their effect on angiogenesis playing a crucial role in both cancer growth and metastasis has been ...

Naphthyl‐Based Chalcone Derivatives: A Multifaceted Player in Medicinal Chemistry
This review insights the pharmacological activity of naphthyl substituted chalcone derivatives. The anticancer and antibacterial activities were more explored than other activities. The presence of methoxy and naphthyl moiety enhanced the anticancer activity. The antibacterial activity was increased by electron withdrawing groups.

Rotenone derivatives were synthesized through modifications of the carbonyl group and their antiproliferative activities were evaluated against various cancer cell lines (MCF‐7, A549, and HCT116). The physicochemical properties and drug‐likeness of the derivatives were evaluated using the SwissADME webtool.

Cytotoxic Constituents of from Peruvian Amazon
Investigations into the chemical constituents of the seeds of the neglected tuber crop Pachyrhizus tuberosus (Leguminosae) resulted in the isolation of seven components: five rotenoids [12a-hydroxyerosone ( 1 ), 12a-hydroxydolineone ( 2 ), erosone ( 3 ),
