Detection of each DENV serotype by RT-LAMP [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Background 4 one-step, real-time, reverse transcription loop-mediated isothermal amplification (RT-LAMP) assays were developed for the detection of dengue virus (DENV) serotypes by considering 2,056 full genome DENV sequences.

Opportunities of Semiconducting Oxide Nanostructures as Advanced Luminescent Materials in Photonics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The review discusses the challenges of wide and ultrawide bandgap semiconducting oxides as a suitable material platform for photonics. They offer great versatility in terms of tuning microstructure, native defects, doping, anisotropy, and micro‐ and nano‐structuring. The review focuses on their light emission, light‐confinement in optical cavities, and

Development and evaluation of reverse transcription-loop-mediated isothermal amplification assay for rapid detection of enterovirus 71

open access: yesBMC Infectious Diseases, 2011
Background Hand, foot, and mouth disease (HFMD) caused by enterovirus 71 (EV71) is very common in China. It is difficult to distinguish between EV71 and coxsackievirus A16 (CVA16) infections in clinical HFMD patients. Routine laboratory diagnosis of EV71

High Light Utilization and Color Rendering in Vacuum‐Deposited Semitransparent Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
In this work, low bandgap (≈1.55 eV) semitransparent perovskite solar cells (ST‐PSCs) having thin (thickness < ≈100 nm) perovskite layers and transparent conductive oxide‐based rear electrodes are fabricated using vacuum‐deposition methods. Two different ST‐PSCs demonstrated a high light utilization efficiency value of 4.2 (PCE: 9.26% and AVT: 45.3 ...

Validation and optimization of the loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) technique for rapid detection of wheat stripe mosaic virus, a wheat-infecting pathogen

open access: yesJournal of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology
Background: Wheat stripe mosaic virus (WhSMV) is a significant wheat pathogen that causes substantial yield losses in Brazil and other countries. Although several detection methods are available, reliable and efficient tools for on-site WhSMV detection ...

Noroviruses Surrogate Detection Using Loop-Mediated Isothermal Amplification (LAMP), Conventional RT-PCR and Quantitative RT-PCR in Sg. Tekala and Sg. Gabai Stream Water

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2017
A preliminary study was carried out in order to evaluate a reverse transcriptase loop-mediated isothermal amplification (RT-LAMP) assay for detecting Noroviruses (NoV) RNA surrogates as external standard for NoV.The detection limit of the NoV RT-LAMP ...

RT-LAMP for BYV detection v1

open access: yes
This protocol describes the process of detecting beet yellows virus (BYV) in plant material utilising a quick and easy colorimetric assay. The starting point is total RNA extracted from the material. The positive results are shown in yellow color, while negative samples stay bright pink - an example of these results is provided at the end of the ...

RT-LAMP AND CRISPR APPLICATIONS IN COVID-19 DETECTION

open access: yes, 2022
SARS-CoV-2, more commonly known as COVID-19, is a novel coronavirus that has spread on a global scale since its emergence in late 2019. The ongoing pandemic fueled researchers to study new COVID-19 detection methods that are more efficient and accurate alongside new mutations that are coming to light.

Nanomolecular Magnetic Probe for Colorimetric RT-LAMP of Viral RNA

open access: yesBiointerface Research in Applied Chemistry, 2022
Amplification of the RNA from the Covid-19 virus is considered the main objective of the molecular diagnosis of SARS-Cov-2. However, the use of target-based amplification methods such as polymerase chain reaction requires a step to convert the RNA of the Covid-19 virus into a DNA template to lead to amplification.

Performance Constraints of All‐Perovskite Tandem Solar Cells in Low‐Intensity, Low‐Temperature Environments

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
All‐perovskite tandem solar cells are evaluated under low‐intensity and low‐temperature (LILT) conditions relevant to space environments. Distinct loss regimes emerge, where weaker entropic mixing causes halide segragation below ≈240 K going along with a strong current imbalance, while poor electron transport in C60 dominates.
