Oxygenation of a Ruthenium(II) Thiolate to a Ruthenium(II) Sulfinate Proceeds via Ruthenium(III)
Inorganic Chemistry, 2005Exposure of acetonitrile/methanol solutions of [PPN][Ru(DPPBT)3] [PPN = bis(triphenylphosphoranylidene); DPPBT = 2-diphenylphosphinobenzene thiolate] to oxygen initiates metal-centered oxidation, yielding the ruthenium(III) thiolate Ru(DPPBT)3. Ru(DPPBT)3 further reacts with oxygen, at sulfur, to give the ruthenium(III) sulfinate complex [Ru(DPPBT-O2)2(

The study disclosed that the reactivities of [RuII (PPh3)3Cl2] and [RuII(PPh3)3(CO)(H)Cl] precursors toward a trimethoxyarylimino-phenol derivative are sensibly different. The former promotes methoxy demethylation reaction affording a [Phenolato-RuIII-Phenolato] unit, while the latter containing π-acidic CO and hydride as coligands leads to C-H ...

AbstractThe dimeric bipyridine ligand, prepared by a literature method with a yield of ca. 60%, reacts with a Ru complex, prepared in situ from RuCl2(bipy)2 (bipy: 2,2'‐bipyridine) and acetone in the presence of Ag(O‐SO2‐CF3) at reflux temp. within 5 d to give the new dimer (Ia).

Electroluminescence in Ruthenium(II) Complexes
Journal of the American Chemical Society, 2002We have investigated the electrochemical, spectroscopic, and electroluminescent properties of a family of diimine complexes of Ru featuring various aliphatic side chains as well as a more extended pi-conjugated system. The performance of solid-state electroluminescent devices fabricated from these complexes using indium tin oxide (ITO) and gold ...

TETRAETHYLPHYROPHOSPHITE AS A BRIDGING LIGAND IN A BIMETALLIC RUTHENIUM(II) - RUTHENIUM(II) COMPLEX
Journal of Coordination Chemistry, 1984Abstract The complex μ-TEPP-trans-bis[P(OEt)3Ru(NH3)4]2(PF6)4 has been prepared and characterized by microanalysis, vibrational and electronic spectroscopy (λmax=299 nm, ∊=6.4 × 102 M−1 cm−1; λmax=262 nm, ∊=8.6 × 102 M−1 cm−1), and cyclic voltammetry (E°'=+0.64 V versus S.C.E., 25°, μ=0.10 M NaCf3COO, CH+=1 × 10−3 M).

Aniline complexes of ruthenium(II) and ruthenium(III) halides
Journal of the Chemical Society A: Inorganic, Physical, Theoretical, 1971The preparations, i.r. and electronic spectra, and magnetic susceptibilities of the ruthenium(III) complexes A[RuX4-(aniline)2](A = Cs, Me4N, C6H5NH3 or C5H6N, and X = Cl, Br, or I); and of the ruthenium(II) complexes [RuL6]Br2 and RuL4Br2(L = a substituted aniline) are reported. From their spectroscopic properties the compounds containing co-ordinated

Ruthenium(III) and ruthenium(II) complexes with 6-mercaptopurine
Inorganica Chimica Acta, 1985Abstract Complexes of ruthenium(II) and (III) with 6- mercaptopurine have been prepared by refluxing ethanolic solutions of the metal chloride with 6- mercaptopurine. Complexes of the type Ru(6-MP)- Cl 3 ·2H 2 O, Ru(6-MP) 2 Cl 3 ·6H 2 O, Ru(6-MP) 2 (DMSO) 3 - Cl 2 ·H 2 O and Ru(6-MP) 4 Cl 2 ·2H 2 O were isolated from the reaction mixture.

Abstract Novel Ru(II)-Ni(II) and Ru(II)-Cu(II) dinuclear complexes have been synthesized and characterized. In these complexes, the ruthenium(II) polypyridyl group and the Ni(II)- or Cu(II)-Schiff base units are fused together by a bridging ligand, 5,6-di(salicylidenamino)-1,10-phenanthroline.
