Ruthenium (II) - catalysed oxidation of alcohols by persulfate
Journal of Molecular Catalysis, 1993Abstract Alcohols are oxidized to carbonylic compounds by aqueous persulfate in the presence of catalytic amounts (0.2%) of ruthenium trichloride and of a choice of ruthenium(II) complexes. Secondary alcohols are quantitatively converted to ketones, whereas primary alcohols can be converted to aldehydes with good selectivities.

Abstract The ruthenium(II) complex [RuI2(Me2SO)4] was synthesized and characterized. The Me2SO ligands are all S-bonded. Reactions of RuI2(Me2SO)4 with ligands containing P, N and S donor atoms have been carried out and the complexes obtained were characterized using different physical methods. [RuI2L4] (L= CH3CN, Me2SO and py), [RuI2(CH3CN)2(PPh3)2]

Benzene Complexes of Ruthenium(II)
Canadian Journal of Chemistry, 1972The complexes [π-C6H6RuX2]2 (X = Cl, Br, I, SCN) have been prepared and characterized. They react with phosphorus donors to give the monomeric π-C6H6RuX2PR3, and with cyanide and hydride ions to give cyclohexadienyl and cyclohexadiene complexes.

Cationic complexes of ruthenium(II)
Journal of the Chemical Society, Chemical Communications, 1972Cationic hydrazine and substituted hydrazine salts of the [(diene)Ru(N2H4)4](BPh4)2 and [(C8H12)Ru(H)L3]BPh4(L = N2H4, N(CH3)2NH2) have been prepared and used as precursors for the formation of a series of ruthenium(II) salts.

Cyanoolefin complexes of osmium(II) and ruthenium(II)
Journal of Inorganic and Nuclear Chemistry, 1977Abstract The reaction of the cyanoolefins tetracyanoethylene, fumaronitrile and acrylonitrile with the 5-coordinated compounds RuCl 2 (CO)(PCy 3 ) 2 or OsHCl(CO)(PCy 3 ) 2 is described. Complexes are prepared with osmium or ruthenium cyanoolefin ratios of 1:1 and 2:1. The possible structures of these compounds are discussed.

Amidophosphine complexes of ruthenium (II)
2009The preparation and reactivity of ruthenium(II) complexes that incorporate the chelating amidophosphine ligands [NPN] (where [NPN] = PhP(CH2SiMe2NPh)2) or [P2N2 ] (where [P2N2 ] = PhP(CH2SiMe2NSiMe2CH2)2PPh) are presented. The reaction of the dilithium salt [P2N2]Li2(S) (S = 1,4-dioxane) with the ruthenium starting material [RuCl2(cod)]x (cod = 1,5 ...
