Multimetallic Ruthenium(II) Complexes as Electrochemiluminescent Labels

open access: yesInorganic Chemistry, 2003
Two homometallic complexes containing two and three ruthenium polypyridyl units linked by amino acid lysine (Lys) and the related dipeptide (LysLys) were synthesized and their electrochemical, spectroscopic, and electrochemiluminescence (ECL) properties were investigated.

Phthalocyanine complexes of ruthenium(II)

Inorganica Chimica Acta, 1978

ChemInform Abstract: Strongly Luminescing Ruthenium(II)/Ruthenium(II) and Ruthenium(II)/Platinum(II) Binuclear Complexes.

ChemInform, 1987
AbstractThe dimeric bipyridine ligand, prepared by a literature method with a yield of ca. 60%, reacts with a Ru complex, prepared in situ from RuCl2(bipy)2 (bipy: 2,2'‐bipyridine) and acetone in the presence of Ag(O‐SO2‐CF3) at reflux temp. within 5 d to give the new dimer (Ia).

TETRAETHYLPHYROPHOSPHITE AS A BRIDGING LIGAND IN A BIMETALLIC RUTHENIUM(II) - RUTHENIUM(II) COMPLEX

Journal of Coordination Chemistry, 1984
Abstract The complex μ-TEPP-trans-bis[P(OEt)3Ru(NH3)4]2(PF6)4 has been prepared and characterized by microanalysis, vibrational and electronic spectroscopy (λmax=299 nm, ∊=6.4 × 102 M−1 cm−1; λmax=262 nm, ∊=8.6 × 102 M−1 cm−1), and cyclic voltammetry (E°'=+0.64 V versus S.C.E., 25°, μ=0.10 M NaCf3COO, CH+=1 × 10−3 M).

Aniline complexes of ruthenium(II) and ruthenium(III) halides

Journal of the Chemical Society A: Inorganic, Physical, Theoretical, 1971
The preparations, i.r. and electronic spectra, and magnetic susceptibilities of the ruthenium(III) complexes A[RuX4-(aniline)2](A = Cs, Me4N, C6H5NH3 or C5H6N, and X = Cl, Br, or I); and of the ruthenium(II) complexes [RuL6]Br2 and RuL4Br2(L = a substituted aniline) are reported. From their spectroscopic properties the compounds containing co-ordinated

Ruthenium(III) and ruthenium(II) complexes with 6-mercaptopurine

Inorganica Chimica Acta, 1985
Abstract Complexes of ruthenium(II) and (III) with 6- mercaptopurine have been prepared by refluxing ethanolic solutions of the metal chloride with 6- mercaptopurine. Complexes of the type Ru(6-MP)- Cl 3 ·2H 2 O, Ru(6-MP) 2 Cl 3 ·6H 2 O, Ru(6-MP) 2 (DMSO) 3 - Cl 2 ·H 2 O and Ru(6-MP) 4 Cl 2 ·2H 2 O were isolated from the reaction mixture.

Heteroleptic Dipyrrin/Bipyridine Complexes of Ruthenium(II)

Inorganic Chemistry, 2008
The synthesis and characterization of a series of heteroleptic dipyrrinato/2,2'-bipyridine complexes of ruthenium(II) are reported. Spectroscopic analysis, including resonance Raman, indicates that the complexes are only weakly emissive and that the dipyrrin and Ru --> bipyridine (metal-to-ligand charge transfer) chromophores are uncoupled.

Electrochemistry of ruthenium(ii) complexes of 8-aminoquinoline

Dalton Transactions, 2009
Oxidation of [Ru(NH(2)Q)(3)](2+) (NH(2)Q = 8-aminoquinoline) results in intermolecular coupling of 8-aminoquinoline ligands to yield an electroactive polymer. Oxidative polymerization is not observed for [Ru(bpy)(2)(NH(2)Q)](2+) (bpy = 2,2'-bipyridine), where only one 8-aminoquinoline ligand is present.

Oxidation Reactions of Dithiocarbamate Complexes of Ruthenium(II)

Inorganic Chemistry, 1997
The reaction of Ru(Et(2)dtc)(2)(DMSO)(2) (Et(2)dtc = N,N-diethyldithiocarbamate; DMSO = dimethyl sulfoxide) with t-BuNC gave trans-Ru(Et(2)dtc)(2)(CN-t-Bu)(2), 1. Complex 1 crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/n with a = 9.753(2) Å, b = 11.583(2) Å, c = 12.974(2) Å, and beta = 91.8(2) degrees for Z = 2.

Cyanoolefin complexes of osmium(II) and ruthenium(II)

Journal of Inorganic and Nuclear Chemistry, 1977
Abstract The reaction of the cyanoolefins tetracyanoethylene, fumaronitrile and acrylonitrile with the 5-coordinated compounds RuCl 2 (CO)(PCy 3 ) 2 or OsHCl(CO)(PCy 3 ) 2 is described. Complexes are prepared with osmium or ruthenium cyanoolefin ratios of 1:1 and 2:1. The possible structures of these compounds are discussed.
