Summary and ConclusionsFrom the tables it can be seen that pretreatment with large doses of rutin, up to 2000 mg failed to protect rabbits against a minimum lethal dose of histamine. It therefore appears that in the normal rabbit, rutin is devoid of noteworthy antihistamine properties.
