Low order sampled-data H∞ control
42nd IEEE International Conference on Decision and Control (IEEE Cat. No.03CH37475), 2004A method for obtaining low order sampled-data H/sub /spl infin// controllers is presented. The method is mainly based on a parametric static feedback controller for a plant that is augmented with the controller dynamics. The design of a full-order controller is a convex problem, while the optimisation problem for lower order controllers is non convex ...

Measurement for Sampled Data Control
Trans. of the IVth Fund. Res. Symp. Oxford, 1969, 1969Sampled data can arise in several ways-for example, from manual samples taken from the process at reel change, from discontinuous instruments such as scanning basis weight gauges, also from digital computer control. Sampled data in contrast with continuous data have the problem of how sampling should be carried out.

Control of asynchronous sampled data systems
IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 1994This paper is concerned with the problem of controller design in the case of asynchronous sampled data systems. Optimal LQG controllers are obtained for the class of two-rate systems where all the control inputs are held at a rate which is asynchronously related to the rate with which all of the outputs are sampled.

Some Remarks on the Controllability of Sampled-Data Systems
SIAM Journal on Control and Optimization, 2012This paper raises the question of controllability (or more precisely, reachability) of sampled-data systems, i.e., systems composed of a continuous-time plant controlled by a digital controller. The question is formulated from the continuous-time perspective, and the study is carried out in a functional analytic framework. The novelty of the study lies

A method of rendering feedback control systems amenable to treatment by the Wiener theory is applied to the case in which the controller operates on a sampled measurement. An explicit expression is obtained for the minimum attainable mean-square error for certain classes of system transfer functions and disturbance power spectra, and the form of the ...

Controllability and Observability of Boolean Control Networks via Sampled-Data Control
IEEE Transactions on Control of Network Systems, 2019In this paper, the controllability and observability of sampled-data Boolean control networks (SDBCNs) are investigated. New phenomena are observed in the study of the controllability and observability of SDBCNs. We routinely convert SDBCNs into linear discrete-time systems by the semitensor product of matrices.

Performance of periodically time-varying controllers for sampled data control
IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 1999Summary: Analyzes performance of periodically time-varying sampled data controllers for \(L_p\) deterministic and uniform disturbance rejection. For a given linear periodic sampled data controller controlling a linear time-invariant continuous-time plant, it is shown that a linear time-invariant controller can be found to give better \(L_p\) sampled ...
