Abstract Previous in vitro studies have indicated that oxidized phytosterol (OPS) exhibits some toxicity; however, the harmful effects of OPS on fatty acid metabolism are not completely understood yet. Therefore, this study examined the effects of exogenous phytosterol (PS) and OPS on growth parameters and lipid metabolism in rats.

Motion picture films made of cellulose acetate are subjected to chemical degradation primarily due to a deacetylation process known as “vinegar syndrome”. A polyethyleneimine‐based xerogel is proposed as an innovative chemical inhibitor to absorb and neutralize acetic acid by converting it into ammonium acetate through an acid/base reaction.

Abstract Affinity photolabeling is a smart method to study noncovalent and transient interactions and provide a submolecular picture of the contacts between interacting partners. In this review, we will focus on the identification of peptide partners using photoaffinity labeling coupled to mass spectrometry in different contexts such as in vitro with a

Nanoplastic hydrophobicity drives adverse effects in the lung. Single intratracheal administration of poly(vinyl acetate‐co‐alcohol) nanoplastics with varying surface hydrophobicity shows that the more hydrophobic nanoplastics increase prevalence of coarsely vacuolated alveolar macrophages, induce transient respiratory inflammation and mild collagen ...
