The innate immunity adaptor SARM translocates to the nucleus to stabilize lamins and prevent DNA fragmentation in response to pro-apoptotic signaling. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2013
Sterile alpha and armadillo-motif containing protein (SARM), a highly conserved and structurally unique member of the MyD88 family of Toll-like receptor adaptors, plays an important role in innate immunity signaling and apoptosis.

Chelation Drives Surface Substitution in Hybrid‐MXenes

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
We demonstrate ethylenediamine‐derived bidentate binding on Ti3C2 by controlled deprotonation of ─NH2 groups during reaction with Ti3C2Br2. XRD, XPS, ssNMR, STEM, DFT, and INS confirm the bidentate coordination and the superior stability of chelating modes, while AIMD reveals proton transfer and new surface imine–Ti bonding mode.

Follow-up: Prospective compound design using the ‘SAR Matrix’ method and matrix-derived conditional probabilities of activity [v1; ref status: indexed, http://f1000r.es/56v]

open access: yesF1000Research, 2015
In a previous Method Article, we have presented the ‘Structure-Activity Relationship (SAR) Matrix’ (SARM) approach. The SARM methodology is designed to systematically extract structurally related compound series from screening or chemical optimization ...

Identification and Synthesis of Selected In Vitro Generated Metabolites of the Novel Selective Androgen Receptor Modulator (SARM) 2f

open access: yesMolecules, 2023
Among anabolic agents, selective androgen receptor modulators (SARMs) represent a new class of potential drugs that can exhibit anabolic effects on muscle and bone with reduced side effects due to a tissue-selective mode of action.
