Mechanism for current saturation and energy dissipation in graphene transistors
From a combination of careful and detailed theoretical and experimental studies, we demonstrate that the Boltzmann theory including all scattering mechanisms gives an excellent account, with no adjustable parameters, of high electric field transport in ...

Saturation of Spin-Polarized Current in Nanometer Scale Aluminum Grains
We describe measurements of spin-polarized tunnelling via discrete energy levels of single Aluminum grains. In high resistance samples ($\sim G\Omega$), the spin-polarized tunnelling current rapidly saturates as a function of the bias voltage.

Some aspects of electrical conduction in granular systems of various dimensions [PDF]
We report on measurements of the electrical conductivity in both a 2D triangular lattice of metallic beads and in a chain of beads. The voltage/current characteristics are qualitatively similar in both experiments.

Avoidance of Collapse by Circular Current-Carrying Cosmic String Loops [PDF]
Earlier attempts to calculate the nonlinear dynamical evolution of Witten type superconducting vacuum vortex defects relied on the use of approximate conducting string models that were too simple to take proper account of the effect of current saturation.

The thermal through-silicon-via (TTSV) has a serious thermal stress problem due to the mismatch of the coefficient of thermal expansion between the Si substrate and filler metal. At present, the thermal stress characteristics and strain mechanism of TTSV

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

Circuit minimizes current drain caused by neon indicator lamps [PDF]
Circuit lights neon lamp by back leakage current of the driving transistor, rather than by the transistors saturation or ''on-state'' current, thereby eliminating lowering of the voltage necessary for indication.

Bone metastasis in prostate cancer (PCa) patients is a clinical hurdle due to the poor understanding of the supportive bone microenvironment. Here, we identify stearoyl‐CoA desaturase (SCD) as a tumor‐promoting enzyme and potential therapeutic target in bone metastatic PCa.

Temperature Response Curve of Silicon Diode Temperature Sensors
In this paper the results of the development of a semi-analytical model of the temperature response curve of silicon temperature diode sensors for the case of an arbitrary current transport mechanism, and a physical model that allows for high-precision ...
