Fault Diagnosis of a SCARA Robot

2008 15th International Conference on Mechatronics and Machine Vision in Practice, 2008
A new approach for fault detection of a robot manipulator was introduced in this paper. Unlike existing methods mounting varies sensors at every joints, the new technique applied only one accelerometer mounted at the tip of the robot. Based on dynamic analysis of the robot, the theoretical acceleration profile of the programmed motion was obtained ...

Dextrous motion control of a redundant SCARA robot

IECON '98. Proceedings of the 24th Annual Conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society (Cat. No.98CH36200), 2002
A kinematically redundant SCARA type robot with increased manoeuvrability provided by an additional axis is presented. By means of a dextrous motion control approach the extra degree of freedom is used to perform several secondary goals in order to maintain the system availability even in restricted configurations.

Collision avoidance for two SCARA robots

Proceedings. 1991 IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation, 2002
A method for planning collision-free trajectories of two SCARA robots in a common workspace is described. The robots are treated as a single redundant system. A collision map representing the intersection of the robots is developed in a two-parameter space.

Dynamic Modelling Of A SCARA Robot

SPIE Proceedings, 1987
This paper describes a method for modelling industrial robots that considers dynamic approach to manipulation systems motion generation, obtaining the complete dynamic model for the mechanic part of the robot and taking into account the dynamic effect of actuators acting at the joints.

On the dynamics of SCARA robot

Robotics and Autonomous Systems, 1992
Abstract Assembly automation using robots has proven to be very successful. It has been shown that use of robots improves the accuracy of assembly, and saves assembly time and cost as well. SCARA (Selective Compliance Assembly Robot Arm) type robots have been widely used in industry for assembly operations in both the mechanical and electronics ...
