Hepatocyte growth factor/scatter factor‐induced intracellular signalling

open access: yesInternational Journal of Experimental Pathology, 2000
Hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) identical to scatter factor (SF) is a glycoprotein involved in the development of a number of cellular phenotypes, including proliferation, mitogenesis, formation of branching tubules and, in the case of tumour cells, invasion and metastasis.

Neutrino Scattering in Heterogeneous Supernova Plasmas [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Neutrinos in core collapse supernovae are likely trapped by neutrino-nucleus elastic scattering. Using molecular dynamics simulations, we calculate neutrino mean free paths and ion-ion correlation functions for heterogeneous plasmas.

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Properties of SN-host galaxies

open access: yes, 2003
It is of prime importance to recognize evolution and extinction effects in supernovae results as a function of redshift, for SN Ia to be considered as distance indicators.

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

On the Ion Line Calibration by Plasma Line in ISR Measurements

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2023
The radar constant calibration in incoherent scatter radar ion line processing is essential for the data quality and was not paid enough attention in previous studies.

LoCuSS: Comparison of Observed X-ray and Lensing Galaxy Cluster Scaling Relations with Simulations

open access: yes, 2008
The Local Cluster Substructure Survey (LoCuSS, Smith et al.) is a systematic multi-wavelength survey of >100 X-ray luminous galaxy clusters (0 ...

Weighing simulated galaxy clusters using lensing and X-ray [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
We aim at investigating potential biases in lensing and X-ray methods to measure the cluster mass profiles. We do so by performing realistic simulations of lensing and X-ray observations that are subsequently analyzed using observational techniques.
