Class B Scavenger Receptor-Mediated Intestinal Absorption of Dietary β-Carotene and Cholesterol†
There is now a general consensus that the intestinal absorption of water-insoluble, dietary lipids is protein-mediated, but the assignment of protein(s) to this function is still a matter of debate.

Ru–Mn composite nanozymes are engineered to mimic dual‐enzyme cascade catalysis, enabling efficient ROS clearance and neuroinflammation suppression. In collagenase‐ and autologous blood‐induced ICH mouse models, intranasal and intravenous administration reduced hematoma volume, preserved BBB integrity, and improved neurological recovery.

This study developed an oral bioinspired peroxisome‐engineered probiotic (BPEP) by anchoring lipid‐encapsulated ruthenium nanozymes onto Escherichia coli Nissle 1917, utilizing probiotics to deliver nanozymes to the intestinal barrier for reactive oxygen species/reactive nitrogen species elimination, tight junction restoration, and gut microbiota ...

The liver X receptors (LXRs) have been shown to affect lipoprotein plasma profile, lipid metabolism, and reverse cholesterol transport (RCT). In the present study, we investigated whether a short-term administration of the synthetic LXR agonist T0901317 (

A Microbial Lipid‐ATP Synthase Axis Fuels NK Cell Antitumor Activity
This study focuses on the mechanism by which gut microbiota‐derived outer membrane vesicles (OMVs) regulate NK cell antitumor activity. B. intestinalis is identified to decrease extra‐intestinal tumor growth via its OMVs enriched in sphingosine (SP).

MHC class I-restricted presentation of maleylated protein binding to scavenger receptors [PDF]
Pathways for loading exogenous protein-derived peptides on MHC class I are thought to be present mainly in monocyte-lineage cells and to involve phagocytosis- or macropinocytosis-mediated antigenic leakage into either cytosol or extracellular milieu to ...

Scavenger receptors (SRs) like cluster determinant 36 (CD36) and SR class B type I (SR-BI) play a debated role in lipid transport across the intestinal brush border membrane. We used surface plasmon resonance to analyze real-time interactions between the

Generation of a mouse model for the in vivo study of HCV-host interaction
The natural species tropism of hepatitis C virus (HCV) is limited to humans and higher primates. Due to the limited availability of chimpanzees, the establishment of a small-animal model for the study of HCV infection has a high priority.

Receptor-mediated transcytosis remains a major route for drug delivery across the blood-brain barrier (BBB). PepFect 32 (PF32), a peptide-based vector modified with targeting ligand (Angiopep-2) binding to low-density lipoprotein receptor-related protein-

In rheumatoid arthritis, synovial Tregs accumulate but are functionally impaired due to iron overload‐induced ferroptosis. This triggers mitochondrial dysfunction and TXK tyrosine kinase‐mediated signaling, leading to Treg destabilization and inflammation.
