Nortriterpenoids and lignans from Schisandra sphenanthera
Phytochemistry, 2008Nortriterpenoids, sphenadilactone C (1) and sphenasin A (2), together with four known lignans (3-6), were isolated from the leaves and stems of Schisandra sphenanthera. Their structures were elucidated by extensive analysis of 1D and 2D NMR spectroscopic data and compound 2 was further confirmed by single-crystal X-ray diffraction.

Simultaneous determination of four Schisandra lignans in the fruit of Schisandra Chinensis
2011 International Conference on New Technology of Agricultural, 2011This paper aims to establish a method for content determination of Schisandrin, Schisantherin A, Deoxyschisanrin and γ-schisandrin in the fruit of Schisandra Chinensis by means of high performance liquid chromatography (shorted for HPLC). Selection of column, mobile phase and detection wavelength were discussed and the effects of column temperature ...

Schisandra chinensis and its phytotherapeutical applications
Česká a slovenská farmacie, 2019Schisandra (Schisandra chinensis) has been used for centuries as a plant of traditional Chinese medicine. Its biological activity and pharmacological use are associated with dibenzocyclooctadiene lignans, while specific polysaccharides may also be involved. The lignans of schisandra are genus-specific.

Chemical constituents fromSchisandra plena
Journal of Asian Natural Products Research, 2005The chemical constituents of the leaves and stems of Schisandra plena are described for the first time. This investigation has resulted in the isolation of a new sesquiterpenoid, plenoxide (1). In addition, eleven known compounds, including sesquiterpenoids, coumarins, flavanones, triterpenoids and steroids have also been isolated.

Bioactive Nortriterpenoids from Schisandra grandiflora
Journal of Natural Products, 2009Three new nortriterpenoids, schigrandilactones A-C (1-3), along with eight known compounds, were isolated from an organic solvent extract of Schisandra grandiflora. Compounds 1 and 2 feature a spirocyclic moiety in their structures, and compound 3 was characterized with a new oxygenated pattern.

Plant Systematics and Evolution, 2012
The organogenesis of staminate and carpellate flowers of Schisandra chinensis (Schisandraceae) was investigated with scanning electron microscopy, with observations on the development of tepals reported for the first time. The results showed that there is no interval between the initiation of the last tepal and that of the first stamen or carpel, and ...

Chemical constituents from Schisandra sphenanthera
Chinese Chemical Letters, 2008The chemical constituents of the stems of Schisandra sphenanthera are described for the first time. This investigation has resulted in the isolation of a new phenolic glycoside (1), along with seven known compounds. The structure of 1 was assigned by using spectroscopic techniques, including 2D NMR spectra. (C) 2008 Han Dong Sun.

Nortriterpene constituents from Schisandra sphenanthera
Tetrahedron, 2012Nine new highly oxygenated nortriterpenoids, pre-schisanartanins E-J (1-6) and sphenadilactones D-F (7-9), together with 17 known ones (10-26), have been isolated from the acetone extract of the roots and stems of Schisandra sphenanthera. The structures of the new metabolites were characterized on the basis of extensive spectroscopic analyses including
