The Effectiveness of Scopoletin on Different Models of Hypertension [PDF]
The Study of Hypotensive Effectiveness of Scopoletin on Different Models of Hypertension ABSTRACTS A study of the blood pressure lowering effect of scopoletin on different models hypertensive rats has been carried out. Two models of hypertension: Prednisone –NaCl (PN) and Prednisone-NaCl-L-Name (PNL) induced hypertensive rats were used.

Presence of Scopoletin in Malva sylvestris
International Journal of Pharmacognosy, 1995Malva sylvestris L. (Malvaceae) contains scopoletin in a range of 10 ± 1.3 to 30 ± 0.9 μg/g dry weight. The content was found to be higher in the aqueous extract compared with the MeOH extract of the same sample.

Scopoletin (7-hydroxy-6-methoxy coumarin) which inhibited the conidial germination of Corynespora cassiicola was isolated from the uninfected mature leaves of Hevea brasiliensis. Scopoletin was not detected in uninfected immature rubber leaves. The immature leaves produced scopoletin after being infected with C. cassiicola.

Synthesis and biological evaluation of scopoletin derivatives
Bioorganic & Medicinal Chemistry, 2013A series of new scopoletin derivatives were designed and synthesized. Their anti-proliferative effect was initially evaluated against various human cancer cell lines. Among the tested compounds, A1, A2, and D6 showed significant anti-proliferative activities. Angiogenesis was detected by endothelial cell migration assay and tube formation study.

Scopoletine as fluorescence probe for determination of protein
Spectrochimica Acta Part A: Molecular and Biomolecular Spectroscopy, 2007Scopoletine (SLT), 7-hydroxy-6-methoxylcoumarin, is known to possess biological activities such as abirritating and anti-tumor, it can quench intrinsic fluorescence of bovine serum albumin (BSA) and the fluorescence intensity of itself is enhanced. So, SLT is used as fluorescence probe for quantitative determination of protein. The experiments indicate

Hepatoprotective activity of scopoletin, a constituent ofSolanum lyratum
Archives of Pharmacal Research, 1998Scopoletin (7-hydroxy-6-methoxycoumarin), a coumarin, was isolated from the aerial part of Solanum lyratum Thunb. by the activity-guided fractionation employing carbon tetrachloride-intoxicated primary cultured rat hepatocytes as a screening system.

Effect of Scopoletin on Indoleacetic Acid Metabolism
Nature, 1952SCOPOLETIN is a normal constituent of many plants and is responsible for the blue fluorescence of oat roots1. An accumulation of this substance has been observed in tobacco2 and potato3,4 plants suffering from certain virus diseases, in topped tobacco5 and in plants treated with 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid6.

TLC-fluorimetric analysis for atmospheric scopoletin
Microchemical Journal, 1969Abstract The evidence for the presence of scopoletin in airborne particulates, house dust, and coffee roast effluents consists of R f values obtained with silica gel thin-layer chromatography and mobility values obtained with paper electrophoresis, as well as fluorescence spectra obtained from the chromatogram and from methanolic, alkaline ...

Effect of scopoletin on monoamine oxidases and brain amines
Neurochemistry International, 2016Naturally, occurring compounds with MAO inhibitory property may provide promising lead molecules against neurodegenerative disorders. We report MAO inhibitory activity of a naturally occurring coumarin (validated chemical scaffold as MAO inhibitors), scopoletin. It selectively (and reversibly) inhibits human (Ki = 20.7 μM) and mouse (Ki = 22 μM) MAO-B,
