Plant‐derived nanovesicles (PDNVs) are naturally secreted by fruit, vegetables, seeds, leaves and other natural sources. Used as drug delivery systems, they can combine intrinsic therapeutic activity, enhanced skin permeation and cargo‐carrying capacity, suitable for dermatological and cosmetic applications including hydration, antioxidant/anti ...

Sebum Composition: A Comparison of Thin-Layer Chromatography and Infrared Reflectance Spectroscopy
Thin-layer chromatography and infrared reflectance spectroscopy were compared as methods for measuring sebum composition. Solutions of varying known concentrations of free fatty acids and triglycerides were analyzed by both methods. Skin surface lipid samples were similarly analyzed.

The transition of cetaceans from a terrestrial to an aquatic environment involved a crucial sensory adaptation to environments with limited visibility. Vibrissae, important mechanoreceptors, undergo an ontogenetic transformation in odontocetes. This research describes the histomorphology of vibrissae and crypts at different developmental stages ...

Volatile Compounds in Feathers of the Scarlet Macaw (Ara macao) Reflect Sex and Pair‐Bond Status
Scarlet macaws exhibit sex‐ and pair‐related differences in plumage volatile composition, with males showing greater chemical richness. Partnered individuals differ in specific compound classes, whereas no clear association with immune function was detected. These results support a potential role for olfactory cues in sexual and social communication in

Acne and Rosacea: Distinct Disorders Sharing a Sebum–Microbiome–Inflammation–Barrier Axis
Acne vulgaris and rosacea are traditionally classified as distinct inflammatory facial dermatoses. Nevertheless, accumulating mechanistic and translational evidence suggests that these conditions share partially overlapping biological domains including ...

Spatial Transcriptomics Identifies Characteristic Immunological Niches in Atopic Dermatitis
Spatially organized immune niches containing mature migratory dendritic cells (mmDCs) and CD4+ T cells in atopic dermatitis lesions support localized T cell activation and may contribute to disease persistence. Spatial transcriptomics identifies conserved immune niches in atopic dermatitis lesions, characterized by close co‐localization of CD4+ T cells
